Human Rights Lawyer & Head of @AIJAC_Update Sydney Office, Survivor of Bondi Shooting, Recognized by Jerusalem Post as one of Top 50 Jewish Leaders in the World
I wrote this article in @australian last year about the absurdity of awarding any kind of peace prize to the antisemitic, Hamas-supporting Navi Pillay. Every word rings still rings true today!
Thank you @POTUS and @SecRubio for the courage and moral clarity to sanction the ICC — a fake court of unelected foreign bureaucrats whose sham proceedings undermine the sovereignty of the United States and our allies.
Apartheid is one of the gravest systems of racial oppression ever codified in international law.
Hon. Prof. @IrwinCotler , Professor Emeritus of Law and Canada’s Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, encountered it first hand when combating South Africa’s apartheid.
His testimony underscores the imperative to use the term apartheid precisely, and sounds sirens to the danger of wielding it as a weapon.

As @SpencerGuard and I warned 2+ years ago, before Karim Khan initiated the baseless warrants against 🇮🇱 PM @netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, the ICC was becoming a willing pawn in Palestinian lawfare, while also threatening U.S. national security. Now it’s paying the consequences!
THE HILL: Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Friday that the U.S. is imposing full blocking sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC) https://t.co/voz1CkAvq9
@NobelPrize Hi Navi. Does that include the Israeli victims and survivors of Hamas’s crimes .. which you have repeatedly and systematically sought to whitewash?
One year ago today, on October 9, 2025, we reached an agreement on President Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza many believed impossible.
After two years of devastating war, the agreement created a path to reunite hostage families with their loved ones, bring security to Israel, relieve the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and build a different future for the region.
One year later, it’s remarkable how much has changed. The situation is far from perfect, but the progress is real, and the world is better for it.
A look at the past year:
✅October 9, 2025: Hamas accepts President Trump’s 20-point peace plan, launching a ceasefire that has largely endured for a year.
✅October 12, 2025: Israeli forces complete first withdrawal to the agreed yellow line.
✅October 13, 2025: All 20 living Israeli hostages return home. Something many believed would never happen.
✅November 17, 2025: UN Security Council passes Resolution 2803, endorsing the peace plan and authorizing an international stabilization framework and the Board of Peace.
✅January 5, 2026: UN reports 100% of basic food needs being met in Gaza for the first time since 2023.
✅January 17, 2026: National Committee for the Administration of Gaza established, creating a Palestinian technocratic administration focused on restoring essential services and rebuilding Gaza.
✅January 26, 2026: Remains of the final deceased hostage returned. For the first time since 2014, no Israeli hostages, living or deceased, in Gaza.
✅February 19, 2026: The Board of Peace holds its inaugural meeting, hosted by Chairman President Trump. Landmark partnership with FIFA announced, including a $50 million commitment toward a football stadium, academy, and facilities for Gaza’s children, and billions of dollars in commitments for the people of Gaza.
✅May 2, 2026: UN reports that humanitarian aid entering Gaza had increased by 72% compared with before the ceasefire.
✅July 31, 2026: Hamas signs an actionable, step-by-step framework for decommissioning its weapons, developed with the support of Nickolay Mladenov and mediators from Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, and the United States. Implementation remains a critical next step.
✅2026: Five nations commit forces toward the International Stabilization Force, with several more working on logistics for deployment this fall.
✅September 23, 2026: Board of Peace hosts an open meeting on the sidelines of UNGA releasing the next steps in the Gaza recovery plan.
A year ago, so much of this seemed impossible.
First, many doubted we could reach an agreement. Then came the harder question of whether the parties would honor their commitments. Over the past year, we have seen what can be achieved when people with profound differences find ways to work together toward a common objective.
Steve Witkoff @SEPeaceMissions and I are grateful to @POTUS Trump for his leadership, @VP, @SecRubio, the Board of Peace team, led by @TB, @nmladenov, @lightstonea, @AliShaathNCAG, Gen. Jasper Jeffers, Liran Tanchman, Yakir Gabay, Josh Greunbaum, Josh Halpern and many others, and our partners in Egypt, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco and Israel. Special thanks to Sheikh Mohammed, Ali Al-Thwadi, Hakan Fidan, General Hasan, Bader Abdulhamdi, @mikeeisenberg, and @AmbDermer. I’m also grateful to the many talented people who have volunteered their time and energy because they believe that the horrors of October 7 and the suffering in Gaza must never happen again.
There is still hard work ahead. Disarmament must be implemented, security established, essential services restored, and communities rebuilt. None of this will be easy. But we have a thoughtful plan, committed partners, and a path forward that did not exist a year ago.
It’s worth recognizing how far we’ve come, even as we acknowledge how much remains to be done.
Hopefully, the year ahead will bring even more progress, and a few more miracles.
Bravo @SecRubio! US sanctions International Criminal Court, as Nobel peace prize awarded to former judge Navi Pillay!
“We will ban transactions with this rogue court, cutting off their resources and crippling their ability to operate against us,” Rubio said.
“Our message is clear: the United States and the American people are not subject to the jurisdiction of this fake ICC.”
The U.S. sanctions likely have the consequence of blocking any American or U.S. business from working with the court, making transactions involving banking, technology transfers, commercial services and professional engagement punishable.
As a result of the sanctions, the U.S. can seize any property or interests of the ICC that are in the U.S., or any ICC assets that are in possession or control by a U.S. person.
Today former UN rights chief Navi Pillay was awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize despite her alleged complicity with genocide and a record of turning a blind eye to abuses by China and other oppressive regimes.
🧵 See the evidence for yourself:
Bravo @SecRubio and the Trump Administration for sanctioning this utterly illegitimate political kangaroo court! At least one country still prepared to defend the Rule of Law, when political courts like ICC seek to undermine and politicize it.
Today, the Trump Administration is sanctioning the ICC.
This action should encourage our Allies within the Court to work for solutions to end this threat to U.S. sovereignty forever.
Only surprised @NobelPrize did not give award posthumously to Ayatollah Khamenei, for his efforts to advance world peace and promote women’s rights. But next best thing, they gave it to Navi Pillay. Utterly repulsive, what a joke!
The Nobel Prize committee has lost its moral compass. It has awarded its highest honor to a bigot who built her career around inventing and propagating blood libels against the one and only Jewish state.
Navi Pillay’s proudest achievement was to legitimize a corrupt prosecutor who turned to her fabrications against Israel hoping that by joining her bigoted lynch mob, he would beat a rape charge.
Karim Khan, who was accused by his own ICC employees of raping and sexually molesting them, used Pillay’s lies to build a fake case against Israel.
Pillay supplied the lies. Khan weaponized them. And now the misguided members of the Nobel Committee are honoring the woman who propagated this demonization of the Jews and this travesty of justice.
Warm congratulations to Navi Pillay on being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
From her work in South Africa defending Nelson Mandela & others, to her role as an international judge on cases relating to international crimes, including the genocide in Rwanda, to her tenure as High Commissioner for Human Rights, to chairing the @UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, she has shown that the force of law must prevail over the law of force and that defending human rights is the surest safeguard against injustice.
Today’s prize is a tribute to all those working to uphold & defend international law, the rule of law & human rights, and secure peace, justice & human dignity.
@kajakallas You’re congratulating someone who has abused int’l law to peddle antisemitic blood libels and whitewash Hamas, and then wonder why you are persona non grata in Israel?
Is this some sick, twisted joke?
Navi Pillay has repeatedly weaponized & abused international law to vilify Israel, peddle antisemitic blood libels of apartheid and genocide, and whitewash Hamas’s crimes.
But then again, @NobelPrize also gave award to Arafat. Utterly shameful!
