With severe dry conditions and high temperatures in our state, it is good to consider the possible effects of high temperature and drought on #wheat germination and early growth. https://t.co/SDe7LZy1of
Me looking at our weedy flower bed last night - “gosh, I just weeded and look at all the spurge again! I hate weeds!”
My husband @CottonByrd : “welcome to everyone else’s life Mish”
Our lab is looking for an MS student to join @CropSoilUGA evaluating weed complexes in transitional land, develop bioassays to evaluate potential herbicide carryover, and evaluate the impact of cover crops and living mulches for weed suppression in organic horticulture systems

@estef_azevedo@Momademia Always here if you need someone to tell you how amazing you are. We will never regret time with our babies. Also, therapy helps : )
Still trying to better understand group 1/ACCase Italian ryegrass resistance in OK. Thankful for this germ chamber to get these babies going. 105-110 is our high range for the next week 😅 @CaitlynCarnaha1
On the topic of boycotting conferences in states where abortion is illegal.
Let's be clear, the reason to avoid these states for conferences should be to protect the pregnant people at your conference 1/
@CaitlynCarnaha1 harvesting our Italian ryegrass trials today. Had to fallow this field for a bit to increase pH @OSU_NPK and clean up. Yes, even the weeds can be too much for weed control trials! Wishing everyone a safe harvest.
At Cherokee, OK wheat tour, @OSU_smallgrains describes Butler’s Gold and Short-season wheat, which is like taking GrazenGrain wheat and turning it inside-out. Soil moisture in February-March will be critical for spring tillering and success of the genetics.
