Hello, I've started a professional twitter account to help in my current placement @CygnetOT @cygnethealth on a project to enhance occupational therapy publications/ social media use. I thought I'd start by sharing a research paper I had published✨

Group Captain Christopher Rowley welcomed the Minister for Defence Personnel,Veterans & Service Families,The Rt Hon Dr Andrew Morrison MP to DMRC this week. The aim of the Minister’s visit was to enhance his understanding of the DMRC,& meet our patients & staff. @DMS_MilMed
Just found out that when I’m not at home my partner refers to me to our cats as ‘The Management’ rather than cat mom. He blames ‘The Management’ when they are not allowed to go outside when it is dark or eat more food then they are supposed to have. 🙈 #catmum#occupationalroles
Coming home after a few days away is the best feeling. Spent the evening trying to draw/paint a little robin ✨ being creative always makes me feel so calm inside #painting#drawing#robin#creativeoccupations
Taking some much needed annual leave to visit and spend quality time with some old friends. Nature walks, home cooked food, pumpkin carving… full of #occupationalbalance
@RGordon_Nesbitt when you began researching in 2016, and found “near-zero acknowledgement” of #creativehealth impact - did you consider using Occupational Therapy literature which has for centuries acknowledged, championed and advocated #creativity#culture and #heritage ?
My partner drove me 4.5 hours to see @AngelOlsen in Manchester last Friday. Since my brother introduced me to her music a decade ago, I connected to her words in a way that has not been possible with other musicians. Her voice is pure magic, inspiring and healing #angelolsen
I was gifted this soy candle making kit from my boyfriend last Christmas and I finally got round to using it. Making something with your own hands never gets old. It feels so wholesome and sacred 🕯️✨ #candle#creativeoccupations
@HannahtheOT Occupational Therapists are also working on a new system for the treatment of the condition of the patient and the treatment of the patient who is suffering from the condition of the condition that he or she is suffering from the disease and the condition of the patient’s body
Today we celebrated #WorldMentalHealthDay2022 at the hospital. We had a DJ and karaoke as well as inflatable activities for our patients and staff. It was so moving to see many of them get up and sing. Music is truly therapeutic and a powerful tool to support human connection 🎶
I took this evening to practice some much needed #selfcare on #WorldMentalHealthDay2022 ✨ Sometimes as a #therapist I have a tendency to forget about my own needs but I am trying to show my self compassion and practice what I preach 🥘 🧘🏾♀️ 🛁 🕯️
Quiet and slow mornings are my absolute favourite. I love having time to myself to drink my coffee, read my book, play with the kitties etc without having any pressure to rush off somewhere. It just feels so serene and magical ✨✨✨ #quietmornings#selfcare#occupationalbalance
AL this week. So far I’ve got to see my partner perform, spend time the kitties and celebrate my best friend’s 30th. Looking forward to tackling the house doing some diy and gardening. Organising my physical space helps my mind feel calm and happy inside #OccupationalBalance
