March at #PDF2026 was powerful.
Through @elfafrica1 , we hosted NiSisiNiSasa session with former CJ David Maraga sharing his leadership journey.
But the real highlight? Young people boldly unpacking Kenya’s politics: honest, sharp, and unapologetic.

Protesters took Ericsson’s body after police ignored him. They draped the flag over him and sang the national anthem.
The brother with the fade and orange shirt held his hand. It broke my heart

Good morning Kenya, as we start this new week, I want to wish you all a blessed week ahead 🇰🇪
@JimmyKings8 What a lie about the "if Idah was from Murima". Noo.... it doesn't work like that. The wife is never a factor, the tribe is.. not even where she comes from.
It’s during periods like this, when accidents are happening everywhere, that you realize how much Kenya misses John Michuki.
Back in 2003/2004, we had similar deadly crashes in December and early January. People were dying.
Michuki didn’t issue long statements. He ordered a nationwide vehicle inspection and crackdown.
Long-distance vehicles were being inspected, sometimes at police stations. He even went after bribes.
The impact was almost immediate; accidents dropped massively by over 75%.
Today? Murkomen and Chirchir are busy issuing statements as more Kenyans die. No real action.
That’s how you end up with tragedies like yesterday, a tired, drunk driver on a long-distance bus.
This is unacceptable
Kenya doesn’t lack laws. Kenya lacks leadership that acts.
Leadership isn’t about noise. It’s about acting before more people die.
Next week, we'll be talking about the Anatomy of a Leader on our weekly #DemocrARticExhibitions series.
Join Team PAWA for a discussion on what it takes to make a leader, and what to look out for.

Digital violence distorts public debate, and shrinks civic space. If we want accountable leadership, safer platforms, and meaningful participation, we must treat digital safety as a governance priority — not a side issue. #16DaysOfActivism2025
Join us as we unpack the systems, norms, and accountability gaps that allow digital violence to thrive and what strong leadership and community action can do to dismantle it.
