I love open education, #OpenBadges, and free culture. I usually hang out on sites trying to build inclusivity, so I might not be very active here anymore.

One goal of our hackathon was to ideate creative solutions to improve OSMT. Congratulations to @ottonomy and the Youni Team on delivering solutions that connect published RSDs to other platforms, extending their use!
WE DID IT! The Texas Observer will remain open!
Our board voted to rescind both layoffs and the closure. We'll have more news soon, but we believe this is the start of a very positive transformation—and you were made it possible! #TexasNeedsAnObserver! https://t.co/3w4NxmV84a
@KATUNews hey this is bad journalism. When there are just cops pretending to be sex workers, there is no sex trafficking, just cops pretending to be sex workers. Could you issue a correction? https://t.co/Z7QBWuNo8C
“As tech giants reach terminal enshittification, hollowed out to the point where they are barely able to keep their end-users or business customers locked in, the capital classes are ready for the final rug-pull, where all the value is…” — @doctorow https://t.co/aDF19V6MMI
Is there a really cool library leader in my network who wants to move to my pretty cool small city and lead a really cool library, recreation and cultural services department? https://t.co/RqgWV1bGC2
@duolingo your new learning pathway, since December or so, is messed up. It was asking all about birthdays using ordinal numbers during the adverbs chapter, and now it's all about making plans when it's supposed to be numbers.
So that's 1.1 billion worth of stock buybacks for those keeping track at home.
So how much did those ~200 employees cost per year?
60 million.
@digitalocean could have funded the affected people for 20 years but instead chose to buy back stock to make the investors richer
It's definitely a good idea to get a personal sense for what ChatGPT is good at, and where it falls over, as it applies to your own disciplines, like @dthickey did here. It's not just "mindless" assignments where ChatGPT can get a student 80% of the way there.
@Limarikal I haven't seen anything other than did:web or did:key so far in products that suggest they're ready for interop testing. That isn't quite "production", but it's been interesting to observe so far.
@MichaelWaltrip1 Eh, sorry for the attack. :) I was actually referring to this video https://t.co/GzqCBYbMFe where a bunch of people were excitedly cheering on Rep Luna in the same hearing with a complete misunderstanding of the nature of the communication between the Biden campaign and Twitter.
@MichaelWaltrip1 @WWMisleader @AOC Actually, the attack was that ya'll clearly have no idea what JIRA is or why it doesn't make any sense at all to suggest that big tech and government would use it as a communications platform, when you *already had a screenshot of the email that was the actual communication*.
@sbuckshum@timbocop A one paragraph reflection on the value and challenge of using AI tools to augment in a particular task would probably yield some interesting insights. In any case, keep it simple, for the sake of instructor/grader and student would be my instinct.
