In every political party, there are those who choose the difficult path of party supremacy even when it does not favour them personally. They suppress personal anger, calm their supporters, and refuse to destroy the platform they helped build. They choose discipline over rebellion. They stay when it would have been easier to defect, sabotage, or work against the party from within.
That sacrifice must never be taken for granted.
One of the hardest things in life is watching a close friendship go bad.
Not just any friendship, but the kind where the person knows almost everything about you, your struggles, your mistakes, your private moments, your secrets.
When things are good, you don’t think twice about sharing. You gist, you laugh, you open up. It feels safe. But when the friendship breaks down, something else sets in, fear.
You start thinking. What if they tell people the things I told them in confidence? What if my private life becomes public discussion? That fear is real. Because the truth is, once you tell someone something, you cannot take it back. But does that mean you should never trust anyone? Not really.
The real lesson is to be careful, not careless.
Not everybody should know everything about you. Even in friendship, there should be levels. Let people earn your trust over time. Watch how they talk about others, that is usually how they will talk about you one day.
Good friends exist. Loyal friends exist. But not every friend deserves full access to your life.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Reputable institutions, credible blogs, and respected financial experts have played a major role in the unveiling of the NRS. Their analyses, explanations, and public engagement have helped demystify the reforms, shape informed conversations, and build confidence around what the NRS represents.
However, it must be said: those who thrive on rumours, half-truths, and deliberate misinformation especially accounts that profit from panic and confusion, have done the public no good. Nigerians deserve facts, not manufactured outrage.
Congratulations to low and medium income earners, and kudos to everyone who has contributed to making this conversation clearer, calmer, and more honest.
