I believe in collaboration, openness, and humane treatment of people for very pragmatic reasons. Work simply flows better when you remove the constraints of centralized control and a chaotic environment. Therefore, sadly, after helping launch thing, I will no longer be posting.

In this short Weekly Jim, (https://t.co/RV3X0mScNZ) we look at a great visualization by Kyle Kumpf in his work in the #PersonalKanban class on https://t.co/jbdU4DYXWO . It shows the difference between desire and responsibility and seeks to balance the two.
Your brain and your desire want desperately to overcommit you. You work in a world of wishful thinking. When you limit your work in progress, you combat this pervasive human curse. https://t.co/RV3X0mScNZ
The curse of wishful thinking drives us to overcommit, to overpromise, and to overwork ourselves. This comes with the obvious side effects of rushed work, underdelivering, and burnout. https://t.co/RV3X0mScNZ
Your work can never be agile/lean without real and systemic respect for people. The Collaboration Equation provides the why, the what, and the how of building an enduring system of respect and improvement. It is the prerequisite of any Lean/Agile journey

Happy Collaborative Holidays everyone,
This is me and my mom sitting on her back patio eating breakfast during 2022. Publishing The Collaboration Equation's endgame happened during this trip. I believe I said about 50 times, "There, that's it, it's all done." Over and over again.
And because of that, I regained the capacity to be happy with, proud of, and relieved that The Collaboration Equation was published and my mom got to have an 80th birthday with both kids, a pile of grandkids, and a very well behaved great grandkid.
