🚨BREAKING: Mayor pledges to help Black women.

Mayor @FrankScottJr made that commitment publicly, on the record, during his appearance on The Special Report, pledging to advocate for Black women struggling to find meaningful employment despite having the education, skills, and experience to succeed.

Our discussion was sparked by reporting from Robert Samuels and Lydia Sidhom in The Washington Post, exposing the painful reality that highly educated Black women are hiding their degrees or taking jobs far below their qualifications just to get hired. Thank you to Robert and Lydia for this important story.

Mayor Scott didn’t mince words. He argued that the Trump administration’s DOGE cuts and rollback of DEI initiatives have made a difficult situation even worse, breaking promises to create greater economic opportunity for Black Americans and leaving local leaders to confront the consequences.

But he didn’t stop there. He made a clear, on-the-record commitment to do everything within his power to help Black women gain access to good-paying jobs and economic opportunity.
