Lovely day up here on the moors. Oystercatchers, Curlews and meadow pipits have returned. Soon, with any luck, so will the swallows. Home looking like a boat in a sea of moorland.

Just look at the Conservation Area in Rosedale Abbey's churchyard 😍 It was originally set up with the help of the National Park and is now managed as a species-rich grassland.

Wonderful to see it thriving 🌾🌼🦋 Check out the Shaded Broad Bar moth too!
