District Collector & District Election Officer (DEO), NTR District, Dr. G. Lakshmisha, IAS, along with VMC Commissioner Sri Dhyanachandra H.M., IAS, attended the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) review meeting with Electoral Registration Officers (EROS), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROS), Supervisors, and Booth Level Officers (BLOS).

The meeting reviewed the progress of electoral roll revision activities, voter data verification, and measures to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely completion of the revision process. Officials were instructed to carry out field-level verification diligently and adhere to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission.

The review emphasized coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and error-free electoral roll in NTR District.

PGRS Conducted by VMC Commissioner at Command Control Centre

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sri Dhyanachandra H.M., IAS, conducted the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme at the VMC Command Control Centre.

Operation Clean Sweep – Building a Cleaner Andhra Pradesh
Week 02 of Operation Clean Sweep marked another significant milestone in our journey towards a cleaner, healthier, and greener Andhra Pradesh. Across the state, Urban Local Bodies carried out 95,847 mega clean-up drives, completed 2,799 drain cleaning and desilting activities, undertook 77,583 plantation initiatives, and ensured the hygienic maintenance of 13,168 public toilets. These achievements reflect the collective commitment of sanitation workers, local administrations, public representatives, and citizens working together to create cleaner and more sustainable communities. Every effort contributes to our shared vision of a Swachh Andhra Pradesh, because together, we are proving that with One State, One Mission, and One Clean Andhra, lasting change is possible.

As part of the ongoing Operation Clean Sweep campaign, VMC Commissioner Sri Dhyanachandra HM, IAS, participated in a cleanliness and awareness programme at JD Nagar along with Vijayawada East MLA Sri @gadderamamohantdp Gadde Ram Mohan Rao.

The programme witnessed active participation from the Additional Commissioner (General) Dr.D Chandrasekhar, VMC CMOH Dr.K.Arjuna Rao , other VMC officials, sanitation staff, local leaders, and residents. Awareness was created on source segregation, scientific waste management, and maintaining clean surroundings through collective community efforts.

The Commissioner appealed to citizens to actively participate in cleanliness initiatives, segregate waste at source, and support VMC's efforts in building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Vijayawada.

The enthusiastic participation of the public reflected a shared commitment towards achieving the goals of Operation Clean Sweep and ensuring a cleaner city for all.

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) is undertaking the pending interconnection work at Padavalarevu Junction to operationalize the 450mm pumping main from Gangireddula Dibba Water Treatment Plant to the 1500 KL ELSR at GVR Nagar constructed in 2022-23. Once completion of this interconnection, it will provides drinking water to nearly 600 unserved families in GVR Nagar, without affecting existing water supplies to Seetharamapuram, Gangireddula Dibba Hill and Machavaram Hill areas.
