BREAKING: I'm told by four federal sources that a suspected DUI driver arrested for allegedly killing a mother and her daughter in a wrong way, head on crash on I-270 in Montgomery County, MD on Saturday is a Salvadoran illegal alien.

Fox is told that ICE has placed a detainer request on 32-year-old JOSE ANTONIO CABALLERO-NALASCO with the Montgomery County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond on five charges, including two counts of negligent manslaughter by vehicle, two counts of homicide by motor vehicle while intoxicated, and one count of causing a life-threatening injury while under the influence of alcohol.

I��m told that Caballero-Nalasco initially claimed to be a US citizen to law enforcement, but that he has no legal status in the US, and he has multiple siblings who are in the US illegally.

Per local media reporting, the judge in the case denied Nalasco’s request for bond, arguing he is a threat to community safety. Investigators on scene found no skid marks or any evidence that he tried to stop before crashing head on into a Toyota Camry on I-270, killing a 46-year-old mom and her 23-year-old daughter. An 8-year-old girl in the car suffered life threatening injuries and is hospitalized.

There were 911 calls about the wrong way vehicle on the interstate before the crash.

Troopers say they found a black bag in Nalasco’s car full of open and unopened Corona beers. They say he smelled of alcohol and had glossy eyes, and later admitted he had been drinking.

A nationwide push to block American data centers is being amplified by a well-funded activist network linked to Shanghai-based Marxist donor Neville Roy Singham. Federal investigators have opened a grand jury probe into his finances, possible foreign-agent violations, and nonprofit tax filings after reports that he routed hundreds of millions of dollars into U.S. left-wing groups.

Singham’s wife, Jodie Evans, co-founded @codepink. That group and other allied radical left organizations, including the Party for Socialism and Liberation, The People’s Forum, and leftist media outlets, have organized protests, petitions, and local moratoriums against data centers. It’s estimated that these groups have delayed, scaled back, or blocked about $23.6 billion in proposed U.S. AI infrastructure across multiple states with their anti- data center messaging.

CodePink and other leftist groups have framed data centers as part of a “new Cold War on China,” while Chinese state media and suspected foreign influence accounts on social media have pushed similar talking points about power prices, water use, and mass surveillance.

China is racing the United States for AI dominance. Slowing America’s ability to build the electricity and compute it needs is a strategic win for Beijing.

This doesn’t mean that every American who objects to a data center is a foreign agent.

Communities have legitimate questions about land, water, utility rates, and noise. What the public should know is that a coordinated political machine with documented ties to China-aligned funding and coordinated messaging has inserted itself into local fights over data centers and nationalized them.

People should always be asking:

Following a federal complaint, Smithfield’s @SmithfieldFoods lobbyist from Greenberg Traurig LLP @GT_Law has just been forced to disclose that their lobbying in U.S. Congress and the Treasury Dept. @USTreasury benefits the company’s Chinese owner, 万洲国际 (WH Group).

A complaint filed in early August detailed how Smithfield’s firm violated federal lobbying rules in July when it checked “None” on a required disclosure form asking whether any foreign entity had an interest in its second-quarter lobbying for China-owned Smithfield on “animal welfare standards; Farm Bill reauthorization; issues related to foreign ownership of agricultural land.”

Smithfield’s lobbyist has hidden the company’s ties to China for the last 3 years.

But, records show Smithfield is 86.9% owned by China’s 万洲国际, whose leadership is stacked with members of the CCP. The company’s chairman was a soldier in the People’s Liberation Army.

万洲国际-owned Smithfield is the largest pork producer operating in the U.S. and owns 85,000 acres of U.S. farmland.

The Chinese pork company has partnered with Rep. Ashley Hinson @hinsonashley and Sen. Joni Ernst’s @joniernst on legislation called “Save Our Bacon” (it should be called “Save CHINA’S Bacon”) that would overturn voter-approved state laws preventing extreme confinement and abuse of farm animals, prohibit U.S. voters from enacting similar state laws in the future, and continue allowing China to own US farmland. 

It should be no surprise that Hinson and Ernst, as members of Congress, have willfully taken and received campaign funding from Smithfield. 

Communist China wants to destroy America. It is officially classified as a “foreign adversary” by the Trump Administration. Chinese-owned, CCP-tied Smithfield shouldn’t be allowed to further infiltrate U.S. policymaking and food production by lobbying Congress or donating cash to lawmakers and candidates.

Smithfield’s long-time lobbyist should be prohibited from lobbying Congress. Ashley Hinson and Joni Ernst should give back the campaign cash from this Chinese company (like Rep. Dan Newhouse @RepNewHouse did). Any lawmakers who took campaign contributions from this Chinese company should give them back. I’m sure Smithfield will be happy to take it in dollar or yuan form. 

I’m not going to stand by while China (which loves the Save Our Bacon Act) and its political allies undermine U.S. democracy and get their way in the Farm Bill. Additionally, any Republican who helps China do this should expect to be aggressively held accountable by me and other real America First conservatives now and in the future.

I can't believe people don't know that Barack Obama and Eric Holder used the Justice Department to target American journalists.

Obama’s DOJ secretly seized two months of phone records from more than 20 Associated Press lines, including reporters’ personal phones, major news bureaus, and the AP line inside the House press gallery. The surveillance potentially exposed the confidential sources of more than 100 journalists.

Then they targeted Fox News reporter James Rosen.

The DOJ tracked his movements inside the State Department, examined his phone records, searched his private emails, and portrayed ordinary journalism as evidence that he was a possible criminal “co-conspirator” under the Espionage Act.

Eric Holder personally approved the warrant.

Rosen was never charged with a crime. His offense was asking a government source for information the Obama administration wanted concealed.

This was a Democratic administration using federal law enforcement to identify journalists’ sources, monitor their communications, and intimidate the press into submission.

The same political establishment that now screams “authoritarianism” whenever Trump criticizes a dishonest reporter went nearly silent while Obama’s government secretly placed journalists under federal surveillance.
