This is illegal. Teaching the Bible in public schools is unconstitutional under the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. The government cannot endorse or promote religion. Using Bible stories like those about Moses, the Good Samaritan, and readings from Genesis in classrooms crosses the line into religious instruction.
Supporters argue the lessons teach history or moral values, but this claim fails. These are religious texts, not neutral materials. The curriculum even claims that “Abraham Lincoln and other leading abolitionists relied on a deep Christian faith,” which is historically debated and promotes a specific religious perspective. Public schools are not allowed to use taxpayer dollars for religious purposes.
Labeling the curriculum as optional does not fix the issue. Public schools are not free of coercion. Students may feel excluded if they opt out, and districts are pressured to adopt the lessons due to a $40-per-student incentive. This creates an environment where participation in religious teaching is indirectly forced.
The Constitution is clear. Public schools must stay neutral on religion to protect the rights of all students. Teaching Bible stories in classrooms violates this requirement, promotes one faith, and infringes on the religious freedom of families.
Really not trying to stoke conspiracy, but is it really feasible that Dem enthusiasm at near Obama levels, an insurrection, the fall of Roe, Trump’s SCOTUS immunity deal, and Project 2025–really yielded 15 million fewer Blue voters?
Help it make sense.

@INDems@RepAndreCarson Ok but hear me out... how about we start with sidewalks for all the no bus pick up zones where we have kids walking over an unsafe mile twice a day. No? Just me?
BREAKING: Donald Trump gets devastating news as billionaire Mark Cuban and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman join forces and unite over 100 venture capitalists to back Kamala Harris for president.
And it gets even better...
"We spend our days looking for, investing in and supporting entrepreneurs who are building the future," reads the "VCs for Kamala" website. "We are pro-business, pro-American dream, pro-entrepreneurship, and pro-technological progress."
"We also believe in democracy as the backbone of our nation," the site goes on. "We believe that strong, trustworthy institutions are a feature, not a bug, and that our industry — and every other industry — would collapse without them."
"That is what’s at stake in this election. Everything else, we can solve through constructive dialogue with political leaders and institutions willing to talk to us. In this pivotal moment, we are united in our support for Vice President Kamala Harris," it reads.
The announcement is a powerful rebuke to far-right Silicon Valley billionaires like Elon Musk who have thrown their support behind Donald Trump's fascist movement in the hopes of more tax cuts.
Please retweet and ❤️ to thank Mark Cuban and his allies for supporting Kamala — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. @patrynard What does this even mean?
"let’s give control over those votes to the parents of those children"
Is he advocating the disenfranchisement of people who choose or can't have children?
Something mainstream media won’t report:
There was a Zoom tonight for Black women organizing for Kamala Harris.
The call had a max of 1000 people. They hit it immediately, and got a hold of the Zoom CEO to help.
40,000 people joined. For over 4 hours.
Trump is soooo screwed.
Hoosiers are ready to make change happen.
As governor, we will:
✔️Restore reproductive rights
✔️Prioritize Education
✔️Support universal PreK & early child services
✔️Develop high wage jobs
✔️Protect our environment
✔️Develop a cannabis market

As a first year teacher who is a part of several support groups for said type of teacher, several things have become quite clear. Most importantly, there is a BILLION dollars to be made off a teacher approved or owned shoe line that is cute and can withstand a teacher work day.
