@AngelaMorpheus @fuckyouiquit I get that feeling. But a lot of times becoming a better person is about controlling your emotions, not giving in to temptation and taking the harder road. At least for me life is 95% trying to be a better person and improve myself. Not easy and filled with setbacks.
@davidllada@photochess At least https://t.co/egwAck7v0D and chess24 should zoom out and show high angle shots of the room periodically. It’s really beautiful.
@davidllada@photochess Yes but there must be other ways. why not use chirons or something? I watched hours of coerage without even realizing that they were in a stunning venue.
@photochess@GMHikaru@AlirezaFirouzja@FIDE_chess The organizers don’t realize the potential to market elite chess events like this as glamorous and elegant. The Palace of Santona is beautiful yet they have a sterile black backdrop covering up everything for the cameras.
@anishgiri I disagree strongly. Chess should buck the cultural trend of casual everywhere. Also, the Palace in Madrid is beautiful yet they have a plain black backdrop hiding it all. These events should be elegant and glamorous. Watch Queens gambit. They get it right.
@TweetsOfMark@JonahDispatch Is this a joke? Washington Generals we’re the stooges that were the target of every Globetrotters prank and lost to them every single game.
@AndyInBanstead @BadaSwich @SMTuffy@Budrino “I dream of a world where men aren’t pigs” is what she’s saying, which is an identically offensive stance - just without the humor.
@williamspiik@simonekoo@dougboneparth Spent 10 years as Wall Street investment banker 20 years ago. Hours and pay were similar at all the major firms. Actually slightly lower at Goldman at more junior levels because of status and potential for future upside.
@dougboneparth Former Wall Street investment banker here. I wish Goldman’s response was job-sharing. Everyone who volunteers gets half the hours and half the pay.
