@whisperbit A sigh of relief leaves him when he feels his son engulf him in a hug, arms wrapping protectively around the smaller frame. He was happy that the two were no longer walking on eggshells around each other.
@whisperbit — “You should bring Mitch around.” He had always wanted to be a father-in-law, but he didn’t really think it would happen for a long time. He was happy the family was expanding.

@whisperbit “Of course you love him. That’s why you married him.” He says with a soft chuckle, still rubbing his back.
“Love is a good thing, it’s just one of this things that make this life worth it. I’m sure you two take care of each other just fine.”
@whisperbit He places a hand on Carl’s back, a soft sigh leaving his lips.
“It’s not your fault either. Whatever’s going on up there, I’m sure it can be worked out. You’re not a kid, Carl. You haven’t been one since the prison. While that’s not fair, I have faith in you.”
