As you can see I wasn’t being harsh when I reminded the subscribers catching a cruise with rubbing shoulders with Dangote that their shares are yet to be allotted. It’s too early to show arrogance with your N5k investment. Your sense of ownership is commendable. 😇
I laugh when people say 5 perfume is enough. If i had the money, this would be my collection.
Despite the fact that it's lataffa i can afford i have over 20 bottles 🤣😂🤣🤣
With the way opay is even moving I'm certain before the end of Q3 next year they will be the leading payment gateway between china/Japan and naija with solid enticing cashbacks.
This is a Nigerian brand that is making T-shirt in Nigeria, they have farm they grow cottons.
Protect Merok not Importers.
There are companies that need support in Nigeria.
Support Nigerian producers not Nigerian importers 👍👍👍👍
Merok is selling a T-shirt bundle for N34,000 for 10 tshirts. That’s better than Chinese prices, even imported. And they’re 100% made in Nigeria at an extremely good quality.
@merokng
To him it is as long as I am president, the party is good. Just ensure if APC loses a Gov'ship sit then it should be won by a Wike rainbow group. Replicate same in the NA and he is fine.
You will travel to China buy a car for 27m and sell here for 30m, Chinese people will import same cars to Nigeria by themselves, open a car lot here in Nigeria and sell same car for the same Nigerians 26m and you're telling IGBO importers to keep quiet?
Those Chinese people source direct from the company while our people source from agent, they enjoy credit facility unlike Nigerians. You can't beat someone that specializes in production and distribution at same time..
Something drastic needs to be done.
That is where the govt comes in. Encourage them to come in with the right technology, build technical capacity, create balance so nigerians have a fair share in the entire value chain.
When the Chinese enter housing fully that’s when the housing bubble will burst.
The expensive thing will just be the land. I suspect they will introduce vertical construction to also save and even out those costs.
This is a prophecy.
The truth is that, sometimes, we can be greedy as Nigerians.
Let me use this Electric brush as an example, I will give a simole break down of how much this electric brush costs from China, the express fee, shipping fee and clearance fee per unit all based on it's KG.
From a seller shop, this toothbrush costs 5.10 yuan which if converted to naira, it is 5.10 × 208 = 1060. 1yuan = 208naira.
So, a unit of this Electric toothbrush from a supplier is 1060.
Some seller usually include express fee/courier fee/Freight fee to the cost of the product.
Freight fee: Freight fee is just like the cost of logistics/waybill from your sellers factory to your china warehouse.
China Warehouse: this is your china agent store that collects your goods from your supplier, keep, and pack when it's complete and ship to Nigeria for you.
So, some seller charge Freight differently. It's usually between 1-5yuan, depends on your China warehouse distance.
So, for this product, the cost is 1060 from the seller and the weight is 100g/unit.
To get the weight in KG, you will divide the actual weight by 1000. Which gives you 0.1kg.
So, for shipment, there are 2 method of shipment to Nigeria.
Air and sea shipping.
For Air shipping, they're categorised into 2.
Air shipment for Normal goods and sensitive/battery goods and they both have different rates.
Where pricing issue start settling in is where you want to ship.
Sometimes, the cost of shipping is higher than the cost of purchase because of the exchange problem.
You buy in Yuan but ship in dollars.
The rate for normal goods shipment is different from that of Battery goods shipment, simply because of the route and cost of insurance on the battery/sensitive goods.
The rate also depends on the cargo company you're using.
I use Skycargo, I have been using them since 2018 now.
The present rate for Sky cargo are;
Normal goods: $8.3/KG
Sensitive goods: $8.6/KG.
To calculate this, you need to first change the dollar to naira.
The present dollar rate exchange by Sky cargo is 1438 naira to dollar.
So, for this product, since it's a sensitive product because it's a rechargeable electric toothbrush, we will use the sensitive rate calculation.
$8.6/KG --- 1438 × 8.6 = 12,336.8
The kG of the product per unit is 0.1kg after converting.
To get the shipping cost per unit, you will multiply 12,336.8 × 0.1 = 1,233.
Then, add the clearance fee. The clearance fee is 1000/KG.
Since this is not up to 1Kg, multiply 0.1 by 1000. It will give you 100.
Now add everything together.
1060 + 1,233 + 100 = 2,393.
That's the per unit cost of this Rechargeable electric brush.
I can decide to add 3k as profit and sell for 5393. That's still very fair.
But, other might decide to sell for 10k.
Imagine buying 1kpcs of this brush and you sell for 5,393.
That's in revenue 5,393,000.
Landing cost: 2,393,000
Profit: 3,000,000.
That should be fair.
Who knows how much that brush is sold in Nigeria?
Temu even sell between 7k-22k.
If we can be less greedier, there won't be a need for this war, so to speak.
A result of the intersection of chinese global economic dominance and nigeria's domestic entrepreneurial greed is severely undercutting our local industry.
The govt. should step in to create balance.
Be like say una dey mad 😂
una warehouse owners would sell these T-shirt for 15k (bundle price) but my chinese plug is selling for 4k/ 3.5k.
Walahi Chinese are not going anywhere 😂
Mustafa Chike-Obi, former Chairman of Fidelity Bank, on why Nigerians should not be emotional about Petroleum Refinery.
There are four US petroleum refineries of the same size as Dangote Refinery. But no Americans talks about refineries. They're just factories.
And it's nothing special anywhere in the World.
In America, they'd rather talk about Microsoft, SpaceX, Google, not refineries.
So Nigerians should look forward to the 21st century.
This man gave a balanced explanation of each candidate; starting with Sowore, Peter Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku.
This is what we call an elder statesman.
Age may slow the body, but this man’s mind is still incredibly sharp. No noise, no unnecessary insults, just wisdom.
I used to listen to Daddy Freeze on Cool FM every Sunday, he was sharp, articulate, and challenged the status quo. He has become a full-time clout chaser, and his desperate political cheerleading is hard to ignore. Notice me
