🤩 A night @AstonVilla will never forget.

🏆 As a new #UEL season gets under way, we're looking back at the Villans lifting the trophy in Istanbul last season.

Aston Villa Football Club.

Back on Europe’s biggest stage.

@danbardell Dan, it was a 4th tier team at home. The team named should've been good enough.

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@danbardell @TheVillaView_ The gaslamp is a good idea poorly executed. I think a combination of the two would be decent. Rough example:

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@williambillbill I did the exact same thing 🤝

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@AddictedToVilla Yea and it's not going his way more often than not. He's just not physically cut out for the pace of the PL and the reason he was so good in the Ch'ship is because he got that extra second of time and space on the ball that he doesn't get in the PL.

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@AddictedToVilla Some Villa fans on here think he's our best player 🤯 I don't see it. Body language has been poor for a while. IMO he's too slow, too light for this league and gets bullied too often. He shows glimpses every so often but it's not enough. I hope Emery can help him improve #AVFC

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@williambillbill @NigeCarroll Beat me to it!

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@AVFCFaithful_ If those were Carney Chukwuemeka or Jaden PB's stats I'd agree there are promising signs but this is a 24yr old player the club spent £33m rising to £38m on. He needs to show a lot more. For me he is too light and not up to the pace of the Prem so far. I hope I'm proven wrong.

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@williambillbill @CFCBlues_com 2 points dropped to Villa

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@VillaPaddy Very unlucky. Not malicious at all.

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@LoveMcGrathpod Is it only the Birmingham Mail reporting it?

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@danbardell No for me but handballs have been given for less, which is the problem. No consistency.

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@danbardell That rule is for backpasses or wayward passes. Rodri tackled Mings from an offside position. He didn't 'receive' the ball. PGMOL are putting a spin on the rule and manipulating it to cover up another refereeing gaffe. A cruel way to concede after defending so well. #UTV

@CharlieEwanHawk @villaontour_ Davide Santon

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@LoveMcGrathpod If it's true he only signed a 1 year deal, we could be in trouble.

[Owen McNamara @owenmc87]

@iainankcorn @TheVillaVision @ajsfounded71 Yes, not to mention the £19bn is revenue, not profit.
