@TheYouthCafe at the Global Philanthropy Forum 2023!
In his words, @TheYouthCafe's Executive Director, @Owillice, stated that to solve the challenge of over-reliance on short-term metrics to evaluate success for organizations, #Funders can give Multi-Year, unrestricted #Funding. Addressing the root causes of inter-connected systemic problems requires continuous #adaptation and learning over the long term. Trusting organizations with general operating funds for multiple years (at least three to five years, and preferably longer) allows them the flexibility to take the necessary #long-term, iterative approach to tackling big, complex, systemic problems. This type of flexible investment enables non-profits to focus on their mission-critical work rather than focusing on where next year’s #grants may be coming from.
