This hasn’t gone viral the way it should.
Jamie Corry, an Irish lad from east Belfast, has lost his home of 13 years after masked rioters set fire to cars outside and it engulfed his house in last night’s violent chaos.
He stood right there and begged one of them:
“This is my house. This is my house.”
They didn’t care.
They burned it anyway.
“They’ve done it to one of their own.”
These racist, uneducated thugs and street urchins destroy everything in their path. They don’t care who gets hurt: locals, families, their own community. Just mindless arsonists ruining innocent lives with no excuse.
We are just ten days away from the first phase deadline!
The response to our Season Ticket launch last month has been nothing short of exceptional!
For that, we thank you all as we look ahead with anticipation to a fresh era, a fresh start.
Join us on this exciting journey 🦉
Please keep spreading the word, share it with friends, family and your WhatsApp groups. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us reach more people.
The fundraiser remains open until 12th June.
Let’s see just how far this can go.

Dear @swfc fans… best fans in the whole wide world,
It’s been a whole 2 weeks ( not 2 months ) since we kicked off our stewardship of this great club.
Thanks for your outpouring of support / response to our release of season ticket sales. Credit to David Bruce & co for putting in the thought and designing a fan centric offering.
Hopefully you’ve seen work began at Hillsborough, firstly around improving fan safety. Once completed, more to follow… much!
Designing plan for training grounds, 1 ) in preparation for upcoming season; 2) with future in mind. Our mission is to give our 1st team and others in our playing family the best in facilities, for proper training and recovery. More to follow!
David B & co very focused on building the squad to carry us through next season and beyond… this is our top #1 priority and will receive outsized attention.
And even with restrictions placed on us for the next two seasons due to prior owners behavior, @michaelestorch, Tom and I have unwavering confidence in David and his football brain trust to make all of us @swfc fans proud. We strive to put a great team on the pitch!
Even while back in the States, please know our entire focus and energy is squarely on making Sheffield Wednesday the best all around club and fan experience we can. We will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do!
We will give it our all… for you! This is your club!
David

Wanted to take some time to reflect on a day I’ve been dreaming of for months.
Saturday was perfect. Will never be able to express how grateful I am for the warm welcome the @SWFC fans gave my family and me. The sun shone down on our wonderful club on Saturday.
It was the experience of a lifetime to enjoy the moment with you all…. To share our new crest designed by the incredible local agency Peter and Paul…. To share the news that after an incredible collaborative effort between my team, the @EFL and BTG we will start next season on zero points!…. To introduce you to our incredible new CEO, David Bruce…. And to witness over 30,000 of my newest friends singing for 99 minutes straight as our Owls closed out such a difficult season with a win.
I’d like to further highlight how grateful I am to the @EFL for their diligence and approach in working with us to ratify all issues and achieve our target of closing by 1 May.
It takes a village; but without the commitment and tenacity of Asher Simons, Clive Betts MP and James Silverwood in particular, we would not be where we are today.
It’s been an extremely emotional 48 hours for me after a long process, but now the focus is already completely on action. We are proceeding ahead immediately on all fronts and we will update you, the fans, as we go.
You are the reason Michael and I are here, the reason we have fallen in love with this city and this club. We will do everything in our power to ensure we don’t let you down.
David

We know today is a day full of excitement, hope, and a new beginning. But some things are far bigger than football.
Mark Townsend suffered a cardiac arrest at our game against West Brom in 2024. He hasn’t been forgotten.
If you’re in the ground tomorrow, please join in a minute’s applause on the 57th minute to remember Mark and show support to his family.
Please share this to ensure it gets the required reach.

Morning all, let’s all keep up tagging @EFL it would be interesting to see if their finances are up to scratch. Maybe someone high up should do a finance investigation into their own business. #swfc#FairDealForWednesday
Ayaan Hirsi Ali - let’s talk a bit about her.
She is one of the most courageous voices of our time.
She was born in 1969 in Mogadishu, Somalia, into a strict Muslim family. As a young girl, she was subjected to female genital mutilation. She grew up between Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and Kenya under a strict Islamic upbringing.
In 1992, she fled to the Netherlands to escape an arranged marriage - she jumped off a train in Europe and applied for asylum.
There, she learned Dutch, earned a degree in political science, and began working with integration.
She lost her faith in Islam. She became an atheist, and later converted to Christianity in 2023.
She saw clearly how Islam oppresses women - forced marriages, honor killings, female genital mutilation, polygamy, and the total lack of freedom.
In 2004, she made the short film Submission together with Theo van Gogh. The film showed violence against women in Islam.
Shortly after, Theo van Gogh was murdered in broad daylight in Amsterdam by a radical Muslim. A threat against Ayaan was left pinned to his chest: she was next.
She received death threats for years. She had to live under police protection.
She was elected to the Dutch parliament for the Liberal Party, where she fought for Muslim women’s rights and against the illusions of multiculturalism.
She has written books such as Infidel, Nomad, and Heretic, where she directly criticizes the core of Islam - not just “extremism,” but the ideology itself.
Today, she lives in the United States, married to historian Niall Ferguson, and continues her work, among other things through her foundation (AHA Foundation).
She warns the West about mass immigration from Muslim countries, parallel societies, and the self-deception that claims Islam can be reformed without confronting its texts and history.
Like Salman Rushdie, Ayaan Hirsi Ali has paid a high price for speaking the truth. Rushdie was hunted for a book. She was hunted for showing the reality of her own life and the lives of millions of Muslim women.
She is not “Islamophobic.” She is a former Muslim who has seen the system from the inside and refuses to stay silent. She points to the uncomfortable truth: that Western values such as freedom of speech, gender equality, and individual liberty are incompatible with classical sharia Islam.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a living example of why the Enlightenment is still worth defending.
She risked her life to say what most people don’t dare: that the problem is not only “extremists,” but a religion that, at its core, oppresses women and rejects criticism.
She deserves respect from all of us - not because she is “controversial,” but because she refuses to lie in order to be politically correct. In a time where many bow to threats, she continues to speak the truth.
These are the kind of people who keep the soul of the West alive. Thank you Ayaan.❤️🔥🪽✝️
“We as a fan base saw off a terrible owner. We did that by believing in each other and sticking together. If we believe in each other for a little bit longer and demand the future we know we deserve, we’ll get there.”
