This “naturally gifted” narrative is one of the most misleading takes in football.
When someone reaches a level that seems impossible, people suddenly act as if talent alone explains everything. Cristiano Ronaldo did not win five Ballon d’Or awards and score over 950 goals just because he worked hard. If hard work alone was enough, football would be full of players with those numbers.
What separates the truly great is the combination of elite talent and an elite work ethic. Ronaldo is not proof that hard work beats talent. He is proof of what happens when extraordinary talent meets extraordinary dedication.
People need to stop using Lionel Messi as the example of someone who succeeded purely because of natural talent. Messi’s genius is obvious, but talent alone does not sustain excellence for two decades, win multiple Ballon d’Or awards, or keep a player at the very top of the game year after year. That level of consistency demands sacrifice, professionalism, and an obsession with improvement. We've seen talented players waste away and never attain this height because they lack the consistency and hard work to replicate such heights.
Sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one. Messi is one of the most naturally gifted footballers ever, but he is also one of the hardest working. The idea that he simply relied on talent while others relied on effort is a lazy and inaccurate way of looking at greatness. The greatest players combine both at a level most people cannot comprehend.
🇬🇭 A disturbing incident reportedly occurred on 29 May 2026 at about 9:00 p.m. near the Operational Headquarters–Bedu Addo School area in Takoradi.
According to eyewitness accounts, a young man who was driving along the stretch noticed occupants of a vehicle ahead allegedly throwing used tissues onto the road. Concerned about sanitation, he reportedly approached them and questioned the act of littering.
The young man, identified as Kofi Ackah, popularly known as “Champion Tospino,” claims that instead of responding calmly, one of the occupants used another tissue to clean his nostril and threw it in his direction. He says the situation escalated when he insisted on the need to keep the environment clean.
He further alleges that the occupants, later identified as officers of the Ghana Police Service, got out of their vehicle and physically assaulted him. He was then reportedly handcuffed and taken to the Ghana Central Police Station in Takoradi.
Their children are privileged right from birth.
They don’t attend the schools they underfund, don’t use the hospitals they neglect, and don’t face the consequences of the bad deals they sign.
They manage a broken country from a comfortable distance and call it leadership.
When we defend E.L. as a rapper, it's not just about him having a prolific hip hop catalogue. 'Cause any lame can have an extensive hip hop/rap catalogue.
It's about the quality of the verses he was spitting within that entire catalogue.
Here is the part I want you to pay attention to.
After the audit caught him, Frank Oliver Kpodo was not fired.
He was transferred.
From Director of Procurement at the Ministry of Defence to Director of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Read that again slowly.
The man flagged for moving GHS427 million in unearned salaries is now in charge of FINANCE at another ministry.
The Public Accounts Committee recommended interdiction 3 weeks ago. The Auditor-General recommended his name be deleted from the payroll.
He is still at his desk.
In any serious country, that alone would be the scandal.
A concerned citizen took swift action to confront the driver of a truck with registration number GN 3821-17 after he allegedly parked negligently on a narrow stretch of road in Kikam, Western Region.
Despite repeated calls for the vehicle to be moved, the driver remained unconcerned, endangering the lives of other road users.

"If you are a medical professional and someone is brought to your hospital, and you don't care that the person dies, you are an evil person.
