Last cycle, BTC.D went up until just after the Fed started to cut rates, and considering rate cuts are likely June at the earliest, it means dominance could go up until July-Aug at the very least.

Also, BTC/USD found a local top (June 2019) before BTC.D topped (Sep 2019).

Alt Season did not occur until 1.5 years later during massive QE and low interest rates (2021).

A lot of people assume that BTC.D will go down when BTC/USD tops (like 2017 and 2021 during low interest rates and QE), but it is possible for BTC.D to go up when BTC/USD tops (like 2019) as 2019 was also during higher interest rates and QT.

Of course the main difference between 2019 and 2024 is that in 2019 we did not put in new highs, whereas we have in 2024.

I think BTC.D is going to go higher than most people think, and those that keep rotating their BTC to other larger marketcap ALTs in hopes of ALT season may continue to be disappointed, as those ALTs keep bleeding back to BTC.

Certainly an interesting discussion topic though!
