@hankgreen Honestly? Nothing. Other than the support of my husband, I’m the giver who takes care of people. When I was diagnosed with PsRA and last year when I was incredibly sick with Lymes I really only got “thoughts and prayers”. On flare up days, I get eyerolls.
@thefatdoctoruk You can always pay him/her/them on the hand and say, “it’s okay honey, admitting you’re not good at something is hard to do.”
Then find another surgeon.
As a person who had 3 failed epidurals and the forth MUCH higher up on the spine -I couldn’t feel myself breathe- I agree with this. I have no regrets, but it was also my choice.
@AshleyGWinter I will never forget the night that my daughter cried and I just gave up and cried with her.
It's all good, you'll both get through this.
Woohoo! Got a clean bill of health for my heart and my cardiologist "fired" me!
That said, no regrets on the "going to see the cardiologist" front. Yes, it was a pain in the ass, & tests were not fun –but– better to check and find nothing than to not check and miss something!
@criminalplaza Unsolicited advice on describing pain. Do NOT use the number scale. Instead describe what the pain is preventing you from doing as opposed to a normal day.
And don't let them lecture you about OTC medications. Insist on finding the cause, not masking the symptom.
