This Sunday, I find myself reflecting on one simple truth, leadership is ultimately measured not by the office one seeks, but by the lives one is privileged to serve.
Over the past several months, I have travelled across our country, meeting colleagues from every region, every generation, and every sphere of practice. I have listened more than I have spoken.
I have learned from your experiences, shared in your aspirations, and gained an even deeper appreciation of the resilience and excellence that define our profession.
These conversations have strengthened my conviction that the Nigerian Bar Association deserves leadership that is accessible, accountable, and committed to the success of every lawyer.
For me, this journey has never been about an election. It has always been about our shared responsibility to leave the Bar stronger than we found it, to build an Association that inspires confidence, protects our professional dignity, and creates opportunities for every member to thrive.
As we worship and reflect today, may we be guided by wisdom, strengthened by faith, and inspired to always choose service over self interest, principle over convenience, and unity over division.
I remain grateful for your trust, your encouragement, and the countless conversations that continue to shape my vision for our great Association.
May God bless you and your families, and may He continue to bless the Nigerian Bar Association.
These images are memories from the just concluded Eastern Bar Forum Second Quarter Meeting in Owerri, yesterday.
Have a peaceful and blessed Sunday.

WELCOME TO JULY.
A new month brings fresh opportunities, renewed purpose, and another step closer to the future we envision for our great Bar.
As we journey towards 20th July 2026, I remain deeply grateful for the overwhelming support, encouragement, and conversations shared with colleagues across every Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association.
This campaign has never been about promises alone, but about listening, understanding, and committing to practical leadership that will Rebuild, Reposition, and Restore our Association for the benefit of every lawyer.
As we begin this new month, I invite every member of the Bar to continue believing in the possibility of an NBA that is more responsive, more inclusive, and more accountable.
May July bring a new strength to our profession, greater opportunities to serve, and continued progress for us all.
Together, we will build the Bar we deserve.

Funny how every morning we scroll through horror, fuel hikes, palace drama, and toxic pepper like it’s normal. Meanwhile, our votes sit idle at home, hoping someone else fixes things. News shows the chaos, but action shows the change. If we think complaining online counts as civic duty, we might wake up in another fuel hike season still wondering why “governance” feels like a spectator sport. Nigeria needs participation, not just popcorn.
As we fight for bringing back liver in fried rice let’s also push for bringing back gifting newlyweds on their wedding day.
You go for weddings and no one is carrying any gifts anymore.
And many times, these gifts were thoughtfully curated items to help reduce the financial burden of planning the wedding.
"YOU DEY VEX FOR ME??? You dey vex for man why change your life? Wey give your pikin food to chop?
YOU DEY VEX FOR ME, EFEEE??
See why e no good to hepp poor people, you dey hear am? No go hepp poor pesin ohh.. AHH!"
After my youngest daughter fixed my computer, I overheard her talking with one of her friends saying it was just an "ID ten T error.
They both starting laughing.
Not wanting to appear dumb, I walked away and wrote down the code. ID10T. She was never my favorite kid anyway.
My date tonight was cute but she took an extra 15 min getting ready & almost made us miss the reservations. Then she played on her phone the entire car ride. She ordered the most expensive thing on the menu and a meal to go so she can feed her mom.
Gotta block her after this.
i once worked as a live-in nanny for 3 small kids in hawaii. the parents were burnt out and didn’t really like parenting. they had 2 nannies covering 7am-8pm 7 days a week. the dad worked a few hours a day and the mom didn’t work.
years later i saw the dad had started a blog about parenting and financial independence. in the blog he said that self-employment was important to him bc it allowed him to spend all of his time with his kids. he said that in over a decade of parenting, he’d never so much as hired a babysitter for his kids.
anyway, there’s a good chance ppl trying to sell you some lifestyle thing are lying thru their teeth.
