The new Australian Inequality Index measures inequality levels across seven sub-indexes: First Nations, Gender, Disability, Ethnicity, Intergenerational, Income and Wealth. Thanks to Our Community for funding the initial set up. This is a valuable tool. https://t.co/8L3ywceudW
@Bankwest I'm still waiting on hold, my second attempt looks like my call is being dropped now. I don't know who has time for this in their day... So frustrating
@MoiraWere@pipsterb@ethicalfields@AlboMP I've always been a fan of the term development as a buddy for the term 'growth'. It's about the quality of what exists rather than the quantity. In physical fitness terms you have 'strength' (muscle quantity) and conditioning (stabilising, lengthening, balancing, coordinating).

A well thought through position @unicefaustralia - A significant step to improved outcomes for children, their families, our communities and the economy.
When you’ve defined your leadership by cruelty to people seeking asylum, ignoring First Peoples, chasing the most vulnerable Australians for robodebts, refusing to raise Newstart and hoping to expand the right to discriminate against others... it would be hard to pivot to empathy
For all it’s utility, the medical model bears a hidden negative assumption that what is important abt a person is his or her injury, disease, deficiency, problem, need, empty half. The able, gifted, skilled, capable, & full part of a person is not the focus of the medical model.
