Compare & contrast! Attacking "civilian infrastructure, especially electricity, are war crimes. Cutting off men, women, children of water, electricity and heating with winter coming - these are acts of pure terror". UNLESS the attacker is Israel. Then it's NOT terror!?@?!!!
Property developer and CEO Tim Gurner: "We need to see unemployment rise. Unemployment has to jump 40, 50 percent in my view. We need to see pain in the economy. We need to remind people that they work for the employer, not the other way around."
@downestips@RacenetTweets@vickyleo@KickUpForRacing@KickCollective You'll be all to familiar with the rules, I'm sure. No doubt they leave too much room for interpretation - wouldn't it be great if we could nail it down and impose penalties?
Still hard to police, which is partly why I'm in favour of no whip.
Personally I'm all for a no-whip trial period (still carried, obviously).
Does show the general ignorance of it that even @RacenetTweets would use an image of a UK/IRE jumps whip in their article though...
@downestips@RacenetTweets@vickyleo@KickUpForRacing@KickCollective Kick Up doesn't take a stance on whether whips should be banned or not. They say, when correctly used, pose no welfare threat to the horse.
We can argue until the cows come home if that's the best stance to take or not. Personally, I'd like to try banning their use in a finish.
Looks like Sam Fairgray @YulongInvest agreed @mmsnippets yesterday!
Thanks @caittsmith_ for doing all the work on this, a pleasure to contribute alongside you.

Delighted to contribute to @TDNAusNZ alongside the excellent @ozwedmore ahead of the 2023 Gold Coast National Broodmare sale.
We take a look at Global statistics of Broodmare sires with lots offered in the catalogue.

@streetruffian Interesting point, as usual, Bren. Wonder how many mares they'll send him? For some reason I don't think they usually support their first season sires with huge numbers, though maybe he's an exception.
After the dust had settled on last week’s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, we took a look at the past five editions to see how the market held up.

@TRBHorseRacing@pdlee55 Was gonna ask: Is this unusual for the best middle distance/staying horses? Seem to remember Stradivarius drawing similar comparisons re. fast last 600m.
@johnegan1968 If you read past this headline you'll find that the £12m contract Dorries cites is merely replacing one that's about to end:
