Last evening, I was on @foxweather to discuss the flooding in Southwest and give an update on our ongoing response. These are fast moving floods and we are in constant contact with emergency crews.

On Friday, @GovernorVA Youngkin and I were in Grayson County meeting with local officials as they prepared. After speaking with the @GraysonSheriff, I am happy to report there was no major flooding and damage. We thank and praise God our prayers were answered!

There is severe flooding in Dickenson and Buchanan counties. The @VaNationalGuard is deployed to assist these areas and we remain in contact with local officials.

We also know @fema has not come through to assist communities that have already been impacted after Hurricane Helene. We thank @POTUS Trump and @FEMA_Cam for their commitments to recovery efforts in Southwest. Last month, @VP Vance visited Damascus on his first official visit trip as Vice President to reaffirm this commitment.

The Youngkin-Earle-Sears Administration stands united at ensuring the people of Virginia have the resources they need from our federal partners and state agencies. As we continue to pray for Southwest and our first rescuers, let us remember Virginians are resilient and we will be there for one another.
