Subconsciously cheered on Fulham more than I did Bournemouth or anyone else this weekend playing against an Arsenal rival. Shows that I believe Chelsea are our main challengers.

With Carrick getting more points than anyone else since appointed, with a worse squad than Chelsea, whilst being an inferior manager to Alonso, who will also have one game a week + No Palestra, Caicedo, and if they sort the GK out (Penders?), they should EASILY be our main rivals.

A fire spread across the field at Rectory Park in Northolt this afternoon, with smoke visible across the surrounding area.

Residents nearby warned people to get off the field, with one writing that the wind would pick the fire up quickly. Some locals have since reported it’s been brought under control, though there’s no official confirmation yet.

The cause isn’t known, and we won’t speculate. There’s no confirmed word on the fire brigade response or any injuries at this stage, and we’ll update when official information comes through.

After the driest summer in years, the grass everywhere is a tinderbox, this is now one of several fires across the ends this month. If you see a fire that’s not already being dealt with, call 999, and please don’t go over for a closer look.
