@CAmajirionwu@Ilerioluwakiye_ I manage a franchise of an insurance & HMO company. What I mentioned there is one of the biggest challenges in the industry. That is why I wish that someday, the regulator(s) would create a data-base where HMOs can upload the CoR of their customers, which all HMOs can access.
@Ilerioluwakiye_ And, there should be a data base of customers and their utilization, which all HMOs can access, so that customers don't run up utilization in one HMO, and when they are advised premium rate increase based on their CoR, they run away to another unsuspecting HMO.
@Ilerioluwakiye_ Most important, the regulator should ensure that HMOs are prevented from competing based on prices but on service quality. Healthcare isn't cheap but you find some HMOs being unable to price rightly, because there is a competitor that is willing to under-cut them on pricing.
@Ehix07 Should it also be that if you utilize more than the premium you paid, the HMO should calculate the excess and make you pay? That is not how insurance works, bro.
@124Abiola@Lanredeola@aproko_doctor If the procedure has been established to be medically expedient, and the cost is within your limit (where applicable) the HMO will cover it fully. Of course, the HMO would most likely not pay as much as the N12m, as they pay at negotiated rates.
@NathKings06@aproko_doctor That will be self diagnosis and it is wasteful to the HMO. You need to first see a GP who would establish the need for a test, asa part of the diagnosis, before the HMO would approve it.
@SquazzoKen95623@princetwiter101@_dinomelaye In the case of the officer I cited; someone who lectured in every single Army & Tri-service institution, upto the War College, an alumni & visiting lecturer of/at NIPSS, who made the best result there, with two masters from UI, would anyone call him unqualified by any standard?
@SquazzoKen95623@princetwiter101@_dinomelaye Thing is, even if you do not have the lower qualification, if a higher institution agrees to accept you based on other considerations, i.e work experience, external A Level...or whatever else, if you acquire the higher qualification, you have surpassed the "minimum requirement".
@Stephen12118@ennyola0015 This is also true with federal ministries. It is only federal parsstatals, especially the very juicy ones, that southerners are more interested in working, because of the prospects of big & quick pay.
@princetwiter101@_dinomelaye So, if such a person had to fill such a form and he put only his masters from Uniben or UI, one Dino or the other will question his education. I blame them not, it is the gullible & ignorant Nigerians who lap up their rubbish that I blame.
@princetwiter101@_dinomelaye Got special commission and became an officer, after some military courses, he went to Uniben for his masters, was on the Dean's list as best student, had another masters from UI, and was regarded as one of the best & most intelligent officers any army in the world has produced.
@Morris_Monye He decided to call his COPPs, who then called the IG, and the IG called the AIG in charge of the zone. Eventually, the AIG summoned the CoP of the state & DPOs in the area, and they all drove to meet the COAS and escorted him to his village.
@Morris_Monye There is a story I heard of a certain COAS who decided to play cowboy one day and was driving himself from Lagos to his village, one late evening. He was stopped by some policemen, who decided to hold him unnecessarily and he couldn't identify himself to them, for security.
