Assistant Ombudsman @micoclavano108 said the Office of the Ombudsman is investigating who exercised actual control over the budget decisions tied to the flood control controversy. He stressed that corruption is rarely reflected in official records and often involves layers meant to conceal who was truly responsible for critical decisions.
Clavano said House leadership may have exercised functional control over key committees, including the appropriations panel, as investigators continue seeking records, minutes, attendance lists, and transcripts related to the passage of the national budget. Those are the same issues examined by PGMN Lead Anchor @HirroCj88205 in her Romualdez episode, where she detailed how the budget process operated under his House leadership and why control over appropriations remains at the center of the controversy.

Corruption remains one of the biggest obstacles to national progress. Every peso lost to corruption is a peso taken away from roads, schools, hospitals, flood control projects, and opportunities that should belong to the Filipino people.
On May 5, PGMN founder @FrancoMabanta and other PGMN associates were framed and illegally arrested for extortion amid PGMN’s continuing coverage of corruption involving Martin Romualdez.
Meanwhile, Ombudsman Boying Remulla has described the developing case against Romualdez as the “grandest case of them all,” while Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano has publicly referred to Martin Romualdez as the “master plunderer.” The Office of the Ombudsman continues to pursue its investigation as legal proceedings move forward.
The country has faith that Ombudsman Boying Remulla, Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano, and the Office of the Ombudsman will do what is right.

UPDATE: Progressive groups on Thursday urged the Office of the Ombudsman to immediately file corruption charges against Sen. Joel Villanueva and other personalities allegedly linked to the flood control controversy.
They called on Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla to act on his May 26 announcement that the plunder case against Villanueva was “ripe” and could be filed before the court within two weeks.

“You’re too stupid, too greedy, too much of a shallow hypocrite with no real love for country to read the times right.”
“BBM is NEGATIVE 15, idiot. You’ve just kissed DE*TH.”
'IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR THEM TO INTERPRET IT'
Sen. Ping Lacson said the Supreme Court should step in if asked to settle how many Senate votes are needed to convict Vice President Sara Duterte in her impeachment trial, warning that the proceedings could otherwise end in a foregone acquittal.
