PAUL JUST LOWKEY PLAYED BRUNO MARS DURING MASS CHOIR OMG

@SalivaryAmylas4 It's great that you break down glucose molecules so I don't even have to deal with them #keepdrooling

[Pepsin @p3psin]

@SalivaryAmylas4 Hey! I work best in acids too!!! #acidityrules

[Pepsin @p3psin]

@_trypsin that's right! we're a team when it comes to breaking down proteins, carbs and sugars! #enzymesvsfood

[Pepsin @p3psin]

Pepsinogen has 44 amino acids more than me which cover the active site, making his hunger for proteins way less than mine. #extraneouschain

If your stomach does not have a proper mucus lining, don't be surprised if I give you ulcers. I can't stop consuming!!! #painfulsores

[Pepsin @p3psin]

My bro Pepsinogen handles the business with my producer cells to prevent me from consuming them and their proteins. #inactiveprecursorform

[Pepsin @p3psin]

Food manufacturers have employed me to modify soy protein, vegetable proteins & gelatin, and to make precooked cereals into instant cereals.

[Pepsin @p3psin]

@_trypsin I think I might be a little insane, cause I love swimming in #acid

[Pepsin @p3psin]

I tend to cause damage to the esophagus and larynx when I leave the stomach, cause I guess we aren't compatible. #laryngopharyngealreflux

[Pepsin @p3psin]

I just wanted to honor my patron, Theodor Schwann, who originally promoted me to be in charge of polypeptide digestion. #discoverer

[Pepsin @p3psin]

What would happen if I didn't exist? The stomach's gastric juices would still digest protein, but it would be take FOREVER. #catalyst

[Pepsin @p3psin]

@_lipase We're also hiring in the stomach, plenty of proteins in the Christmas dinner meatloaf to digest.

A new documentary depicting my life story and career was recently released. Give it a watch!

@AmySali17 Thanks for making my job easier by breaking down the glucose for me! Dealing with proteins is already so much work. #Nocarbsforme

[Pepsin @p3psin]

I am really good at causing breakups. Just ask hydrophobic and aromatic amino acids about their peptide bonds. #tyrosine #trytophan

[Pepsin @p3psin]

I get REALLY TRIGGERED when I meet proteins in the stomach, feeling the urge to break them down into little peptides. #hydrolysisreaction

[Pepsin @p3psin]

I love my best friends, @_trypsin and chrymotrypsin. Together we make up the 3 proteases who work to break down proteins!

[Pepsin @p3psin]

If you ever want to find my older brother, Pepsinogen, you might want to check the chief cells in the stomach wall. #zymogeniccell
