$p402
p402 brings programmable, pay-per-use products to the pons ecosystem.
a creator connects their token, attaches a digital product and sets a price. a person or ai agent requests access, receives a 402 payment requirement, pays on robinhood chain and receives the product automatically.
no subscription. no manual approval. no fake utility.
just a token connected to something machines can spend it on.

the next serious robinhood chain project might not need another token dashboard.
it might need an api that other apps can pay to use.
that is the lane p402 is opening.
current p402 stack:
launch a product
generate the integration
run the 402 flow
validate the response
settle on robinhood chain
we built the full loop before building the hype around it.
looking for 5 developers who have an api, dataset or agent tool they want to monetize.
we’ll personally help you turn it into a working p402 endpoint.
reply with what you’re building.
one thing we’re not doing: stuffing p402 with features just so the site looks busy.
every update needs to remove a real reason someone hasn’t launched an endpoint yet.
if it doesn’t do that, we’re not shipping it.
we’ve been shipping directly from the feedback coming in.
integration snippets because setup took too long.
a validator because payment configs are easy to mess up.
templates because nobody should start from zero.
keep telling us what sucks.
today we made it easier to test, validate and clone a p402 endpoint.
next we’re reducing the distance between a working endpoint and its first settled payment.
the product gets simpler from here—even if the infrastructure underneath does not.
question for api developers:
would you rather price an endpoint per request, per result or by the amount of compute used?
p402 supports the payment rail.
we’re deciding which pricing tools should come next.
a real p402 development update:
we recently shipped the 402 validator, instant curl/javascript/python snippets and a new flow that lets developers turn any playground example into a prefilled product launch.
the rwa layer is also live. creators can bind a published product to its issuer, custodian, jurisdiction, declared valuation and source document. p402 retrieves the document, verifies its sha-256 fingerprint and exposes the record through a public endpoint with a signed attestation.
now we’re working on the less visible but more important parts:
• cleaner javascript and python sdks
• a production-ready hosted facilitator
• payment and endpoint analytics
• simpler deployment for paid apis and agent tools
• better testnet onboarding
• stronger verification and replay protection
the goal is not to keep adding pages.
the goal is to make launching a machine-payable product on robinhood chain feel as normal as deploying an api.
new p402 update live.
every playground example can now become your starting point.
test an endpoint, click “use this template” and the complete launch configuration is carried over automatically—ready for you to edit and publish.
less setup. faster launches.

we’re not done shipping tonight.
get some sleep.
later this morning, p402 enters its next phase—and what’s coming is much bigger than another developer tool.
see you in a few hours.
(we will keep tweeting updates throughout the night/morning don't worry!)
new developer tool live: the p402 validator.
paste any 402 payment response and instantly check its json, network, scheme, asset, amount, recipient and timeout configuration.
if something is broken, it tells you exactly what to fix.
validate before you ship.

new to p402?
open the playground, select a paid endpoint and send an unpaid request.
the server returns http 402 with the asset, amount, recipient and network required for access.
that response is the invoice.
