@escaleteric@yunghogarthian The mass media thing also happened because his university pathetically tried to "defend" him (on top of racism). Plenty of white people in academia are caught for plagiarism, but their institutions don't throw them under the bus by starting a show of insane virtue signaling.
@AdolphsonFalkk@Bearistotle1337 But if psychiatry already failed once, leading to the death of 3 children, how can we trust it to turn her into someone not dangerous?
@RyanMalphrus@RachelZader He is accused by multiple people, make sense to say "I've never raped anyone" instead of "I haven't raped person A, nor person B, nor person C, nor person D, nor person..."?
@DJWebbMath@francoisfleuret Yes official formalizations is the most important point here, besides maybe for simple number theoric conjecture such as Collatz.
@francoisfleuret You want someone that defines official formalization of problems and gives some context but the validation of a formal proof should not be something that is hard to trust (unfortunately right now consistency bugs are often found in proof systems).
@hallerite Yes, but not all evals are done for RL training, and it seems that here it was just eval for eval, not for RL training (but I might be wrong).
@Damphouse29@FF7FanComic This is not the post I responded to. My point is simply that the best thing to do is to actually help or at least try to, not simply nodding and saying platitudes such as "that must be very hard".
@Damphouse29@FF7FanComic People complain all the time that no one offers them help. On the other hand complaining that someone want to help you is quite toxic. And by offering help of course I'm talking about actually helping, not saying "you should do that and if you don't you are stupid".
@Damphouse29@FF7FanComic That's bullshit, the expected way to do thing is to offer help, not wait for people to beg for it. Most people won't even dare asking for it at all.
@jeremyphoward Then maybe the logical conclusion is that they saw it coming. Now they are on the verge of IPO, and the US government itself advertises them by saying that their tech is too powerful to be left in the hand of non US citizens. Doesn't look like a bad deal to me.
@drmtgr Les domaines plus théoriques sont plus féminisés en parti parce que l'Italie respecte beaucoup l'experimental, et la France plus la théorie, et donc comme d'habitude les femmes accèdent moins aux domaines les plus prestigieux.
