Today, not just today, i went somewhere asking for a service. Someone saw me and asked me ‘uri umukobwa wa MUHIRE ?’ I said yes. They told me ‘So nimfura cyane.’ They went ahead and gave me premium treatment. That happens to all of us (his daughters). We’re proud daughters ❤️🥹

This image carries more than a scar — it carries memory, truth, and resilience.

I was 11 years old during the Genocide Against the Tutsi.
What I saw, what I survived, and what I lost can never be forgotten.
But through pain, I found my voice again.
And through my book A Broken Life, I chose to speak for myself, and for others who cannot.

As a survivor and an author, I carry the past, but I also write the future.

What a year. What a God 🙌🏾

As we close out this year, I’m reminded that the big moments shaped us, but the small ones kept us steady. The warmth of the sun, the strength to face another day, the kindness of unexpected words - these moments may seem small, but they are filled with God’s presence.

It's so human to measure our days and wonder if they add up. But the truth is, the quiet grooves in our lives- the paths worn down by our steps and the sunlight breaking through after storms, are proof of His faithfulness.

So don’t just start strong ; start rested. Let’s carry the hope of the past year forward into the next, trusting in the God who was with us in every detail.

Here’s to the year behind us and the grace ahead. What a year we’ve lived, and what a God we serve 🙌🏾
