There’s nothing Enzo has done for Argentina in these two World Cup games that he hasn’t consistently done for Chelsea. The only difference is that you are seeing him in a different shirt.
Dear Nnam @CaptainArinze ,
July 2025 was the month something happened that completely changed how I view my health and self-care.
Since my daughter was born in August 2024, I honestly hadn’t given myself enough time to rest. Even after my 10-day paternity leave, I was back to juggling work, family responsibilities, and helping with the baby.
My wife would often tell me, “Please rest.”
But my response was always the same: “It’s my duty to provide, protect, and help out.”
Then one Monday morning in July 2025, just before leaving for work, I told my wife I was feeling lightheaded.
She suggested I call in sick or take the day off, but I refused. I had a presentation to deliver during our team meeting, and I didn’t want to miss it.
I drank a bottle of Sprite, convinced myself I would be fine, and headed to work.
About 45 minutes into the meeting, while waiting for my turn to present, I felt a sharp tightening in my chest.
I excused myself and hurried towards the restroom.
The next thing I remember was waking up in a hospital bed about an hour later.
Confused, I asked my wife, my twin, and some of my teammates what had happened.
Their answer shocked me.
I had collapsed on my way to the restroom.
Till today, I still can’t remember what happened between leaving that meeting room and waking up in the hospital.
But one thing changed after that day.
I stopped treating my health like it could wait.
I speak up when I don’t feel well. I take rest seriously. I make time for self-care.
Because I learned the hard way that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
To every man reading this:
Please take care of yourself.
Rest is not weakness. Asking for help is not weakness because your health matters too.
1. Diezani did not flee Nigeria. She went to the UK to complete treatment for breast cancer. She presented significant evidence of this before the courts.
2. A core part of her defence was that these allegations emanated during her time as minister in Nigeria. She asked repeatedly to be allowed to return Nigeria to face these charges and was turned down.
3. In it's opening brief and during the course of the trial, the prosecution admitted that they had no evidence of corruption or evidence to show that she illegally or wrongly awarded contracts to any companies. It's in paragraph 4 of their opening brief.
4. EFCC was practically a party to the prosecution. They engaged with the NCA to ensure that the matter was prosecuted.
5. Further to 4 above, EFCC was repeatedly asked by the NCA to provide evidence to substantiate the accusations. THEY failed to do so. In fact, the EFCC was unable to provide a detailed list of all the items supposedly confiscated from her home.
6. Further to 4 above, EFCC refused to engage with her lawyers and refused to allow them to come to Nigeria to inspect items citing "Presidential Privilege."
7. Further to 4 above, when the rubber has met the road EFCC has been unable to substantiate it's allegations. There's a reason why official communications say "properties linked to DAM" rather than properties owned by her. It's a small but significant phrase. It's simply because neither the EFCC/any Nigerian agencies or foreign authorities are ableto substantiate the allegations they have made over the last 11 years.
