@adamhlavac I’m all for this. I tend to find flat screens are always smaller than scope, which then feels even smaller when it is letterboxed for 2.39:1 films. So this way, regardless of which screen you see, it utilises the whole screen.
@tommcurzon They had only been 3 princess movies and one flopped due to high budget. So after Sleeping Beauty they focused on lower budgets, plus Walt died after Jungle Book. The association with Princesses then came in the 90s as Little Mermaid and B&tB released and the OG 3 came on VHS.

@Nostalgicdisney I think the “Revival Era” ended with Frozen 2. After that with Covid and Disney Plus, it feels like a new era (Streaming Era maybe). Where original films struggle due to excess content and the big hits are sequels. Though the answer is Renaissance followed by Silver age.
@wolfpacreviews@mattatthecinema They do for Odyssey. The film is labeled as 70mm on IMAX site, as is the screening. I got mine tickets in less than 5 min. Best bet over BFI for anyone not in or near London
@whiskeyrich For anyone not in London, I booked Vue Manchester which is also 70mm IMAX and I was in and out of the website in less than 5 min. Screen isn’t much smaller than BFI.
@TheCinesthetic Spider-Man similarly led to the 12a rating in UK but for opposite reason. It was rated 12, so no one under 12 could watch it. This led to complaints as many kids wanted to watch it. So they later changed 12 to 12a, so that under 12s can watch a 12a movie with someone over 18.
@EZE3D The movie making this amount of money is an extreme rarity. Most cases this, the film would have grossed a few million and that would have been seen as successful. If the film didn’t gross much, her pay would not be affected, but Focus would lose money. Risk/reward is theirs.
@LuftkoppTim They have. There is a 1:85 version that will show the majority of the 70mm image. The 2:35 is only for those scope screens so that every screen is filled to the max (no bars). Avatar did the same. Plus most action is always in middle of screen. So nothing is ever missed.
@CodyFandom_ Force Awakens was exactly the movie it needed to be. Yes, it redoes New Hope, but the purpose of that film (besides making money) was to make people fall in love with Star Wars again. And it achieved that. Plus it did take some risks, (killing Han, withholding Luke).
@TheRochaSays I’m torn because I don’t like he made this statement when we still have one game left to play where we want to honour him. However, I also agree with everything he said because this season no one (including Mo) has represented the club the way they should. (Except maybe Dom).
