@danielgothits I live somewhere like this. Most new buyers are actually young kids whose rich parents bought the house for them. They have one kid and then mommy and daddy buy them a bigger house when the second kid comes, and a new set of trust fund kids move in.

@Arcmosis Datacenter jobs aren't even the good jobs. You'll have some giant building and there's like 40 people working there all making around 100k, and most of them will be transplants rather than local hires. Meanwhile devs at the SF HQ make $500k.

@oliveegger I went to Catholic school. There was a strong culture of bullying kids who didn't perform well academically. You either did well or you failed socially. The bad boy flunk out or dumb jock archetypes didn't really exist.
