🚨 URGENT UPDATE: TORNADO WARNINGS ALREADY ACTIVE The threat today is escalating quickly. We are already seeing Tornado Warnings in progress this morning as the first round of storms pushes through. This is a fast-evolving situation, and the risk is starting earlier than anticipated.

Today, April 27, marks the peak of this dangerous multi-day severe weather stretch. The ingredients for significant, long-track tornadoes are coming together right now.

⛈️ Current Situation & Forecast:

• Active Warnings: Tornado warnings are already being issued. Do not wait for the afternoon to get weather-ready.

• Double Threat: A morning/early afternoon round is underway, followed by a second, even more volatile round late this afternoon into the night.

• Intense Tornadoes: The potential for EF3+ tornadoes is high, especially in the "Very Likely" corridor near St. Louis.

• Massive Hail & Wind: Be prepared for 3"+ "gorilla" hail and destructive wind gusts.

• TOR:CON Alert: A TOR:CON of 7 is in effect for parts of Missouri and Illinois.

• Highest Risk: St. Louis, MO; Quincy, IL; Paducah, KY.

• Significant Risk: Indianapolis, IN; Memphis, TN; Little Rock, AR; Springfield, IL.
