To all my friends here & all the good people on X - Please share this & support our campaign to have #Skyclarys provided for our beautiful young men & women who suffer from #Friedrich’s Ataxia - Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD has the power & means to Transform these precious lives
Today was a very hard day as we listened to the children, young adults and adults, parents, who live with Friedreich ataxia and how it’s slowly robbing them of life.
They begged that the state would fund the drug Skyclarys and it was heartbreaking to hear.
If @MichealMartinTD@SimonHarrisTD and @CarrollJennifer do any good in this dail term let it be that they insist that the HSE and Department of Health approve funding for this medicine and give hope back to the people who deserve it most.

WILL THEY EVER PUNISH THIS MONSTER?
Major Sean Glass, gave the order from inside a tank to open fire on the car carrying Palestinian child Hind Rajab and her family, as well as on the ambulances rushing to rescue them.....
In Ireland, you have on one side law abiding citizens, over worked and over taxed, struggling with housing, poor infrastructure and public services and sometimes terrorised by criminals.
And on the other side a bunch of insufferable smug politicians, NGOs and activities given free reign by the mainstream media to control the narrative and tell us everything is fine and we should be greatful for their wisdom.
It’s infuriating.
Imagine being separated from the love of your life after a lifetime together, left waiting in a nursing home miles away from the place you call home.
For one 95-year-old Cork woman, this heartbreaking reality means she has only been able to hold her husband’s hand twice in an entire year.
She is far from alone; nearly 40 elderly residents across Cork are currently stuck on transfer lists, aching to be closer to the families who miss them deeply.
While the physical care they receive is acceptable, no medical support can replace the comfort, warmth, and daily presence of loved ones.
Nursing homes are meant to support people in living a full life, not punish them with isolation simply for the crime of growing old.

Did the HSE and Govt lie to the public about the cost of this drug to try influence opinion. If they did they are scum of the highest order.

Imagine having to explain to grown men that they must not rape women, must not force women into sex, and must not have sex with children.
Yet the UK Home Office has produced an official guide for asylum seekers spelling out exactly that.
These are the same migration routes feeding into Ireland. If the British authorities believe warnings this basic are necessary, what exactly is Ireland doing?
Are asylum seekers coming here being given equivalent safeguarding guidance? Are risks being assessed at all?
This should alarm every parent in the country.
Read the Home Office document yourself:

Israel has just bombed a school full with people are using as a shelter.
Children killed.
This violates Article 52 of Additional Protocol (I) Geneva Conventions, but international law clearly doesn’t apply to Israel.
Amnesty Ireland say Stand Up and DON'T PLAY.
@FAIreland Are ye going to ignore a human rights organisation like Amnesty and go ahead with these sick and disgusting soccer games with Israel?? Is that how depraved ye are??

If you can this Sunday please take the time to come to this march in support of those living with Friedreichs Ataxia as they continue to push for Skyclarys to be made available to them ✊ 12pm meeting at the Garden of Remembrance
“Can I have the tablet? It’s really important.”
That is the heartbreaking plea from 16-year-old Paudie Coady.
Paudie lives with Friedreich's ataxia, a severe degenerative disease. It has already taken his physical independence and, just last year, took his beautiful 13-year-old brother, Rory.
Now, speaking from his bed in Cork, Paudie is using what strength he has left to ask the Irish Government for a chance to live his life.
There is a drug called Skyclarys.
The barrier? Money!
The HSE Drugs Committee recently recommended against funding it, pointing to "value for money". Imagine being a 16-year-old boy hearing that your life is being weighed against a price tag. Imagine being his parents, Craig and Della, who buried one son and are now forced to plead publicly to save another.
As Paudie's grandmother Eileen put it: “We are begging for this tablet. We shouldn't have to be begging. It should be there.”
Senior HSE management will make the final determination. You cannot put a price tag on a child’s life. No family in Ireland should have to go on public radio to beg for basic medical treatment.
Paudie asked the public to get behind him so he can live his life to the fullest. Let’s make sure decision-makers hear him.

BREAKING: Israel just blew up the public water reservoir in Mansouri, South Lebanon — cutting off the town’s water supply.
Not a military target.
A water reservoir.
Essential civilian infrastructure.
This is a war crime.
This is an act of genocide.
TWO FIGURES EVERY IRISH TAXPAYER SHOULD SEE SIDE BY SIDE
🇮🇪 Maximum State Pension (Contributory), 2026
€299.30 per week
€15,563.60 per year
A person can spend decades working and paying PRSI to qualify for the maximum contributory pension.
From that pension they still have to meet the ordinary costs of living:
Heating and electricity.
Food.
Housing costs.
Clothing.
Transport.
Insurance.
And the other bills that arrive every month.
Now compare that with the international-protection accommodation system.
At the €84-per-person-per-night average IPAS accommodation figure we've been discussing:
€84 × 365 = €30,660 per year
Then there is the standard adult Daily Expenses Allowance:
€38.80 per week = €2,017.60 per year
Giving:
€32,677.60 per year
in accommodation expenditure plus the standard adult allowance alone.
And that comparison still doesn't attempt to put a monetary value on healthcare, education or other additional supports for which an applicant may qualify.
To be absolutely clear: €30,660 is not cash handed to an asylum seeker. It represents the cost to the State of providing accommodation.
But that's precisely why this is a public-spending question.
Maximum contributory pension: €15,563.60/year
IPAS accommodation + adult allowance: €32,677.60/year
More than twice the maximum contributory pension.
The pensioner receives their pension and then pays their own living expenses from it.
The person accommodated through IPAS has their accommodation provided by the State and may receive the separate weekly allowance and other qualifying supports.
This isn't about blaming the person receiving either form of support.
It's about Government priorities and taxpayers' money.
After somebody has worked and contributed to this country for decades, is it unreasonable for them to look at these figures and ask:
Are we getting our priorities right?
Israel killed Jihad today in Gaza.
They dropped a bomb on the café he was sitting in.
He wasn’t a soldier. He wasn’t on a battlefield.
He was a child. Sitting in a café.
