@LNER my partner’s cross country train from London kings x to York is cancelled and there is serious disruption. They are concerned at being stranded in London. Are you accepted other TOC tickets due to storm?
If you feel sympathy for Boris Johnson remember:
Highest inflation in 40 yrs
Highest taxation in 70 yrs
Biggest drop in living standards in 65 yrs
Biggest fall in wages since records began
UK trade performance at its worst level
One of highest death tolls from Covid in world
Etc
@clairemuseums Cheers @clairemuseums . I’ll look them up and see. Tbh, I’m not sure what the budget is (cld be more than I think…) so all options are probably good. ⭐️
Hej all, I wondered if anyone could help. Any suggestions for RH/temp data loggers? This isn’t my area I’d expertise at all, & all I know is Tiny Tag. I was wondering are there were better/more affordable ones around (for a small museum) esp Wi-Fi ones. Any ideas? @clairemuseums
@LNER just wondering as apparently there is still no info for folk at Donnie whether section 28.1 of National Rail Conditions of Travel comes into play in this situation where people are stuck ?
@LNER thanks for tweet below, but I knew this. I would suggest that this is not an example of good comms. People decanted during a journey can’t delay their journey until tomorrow. Btw, when was the theft? If last night surely there’d have been time 2 come up with a back up plan?
@LNER@LNER Hmm, I know this . Also, I would suggest that this is not an example of good comms. People decanted during a journey can’t delay their journey until tomorrow. Btw, when was the theft? If it was last night surely there would’ve been time to come up with a back up plan?
@LNER in a situation like this (Donnie) good comms are vital - they help reduce stress, anxiety, and frustration. I think the good people at Donnie really need a bit of a proactive solution based comms rather than being told to wait and see what happens. Any ideas @LNER ?
@LNER I will but the station staff seem to disappeared - people haven’t seen any for 20 minutes or so. Is there a plan I can convey for passengers to get to York? It’s going to get late and dark soon so not great for some. they need to use the PA system to tell people what’s happening
@LNER my girlfriend been left @ Donnie trying to get to York. Two coaches arrived, dangerous scrum to get on, left leaving c. 100 passengers at Donnie station. No station staff, no buses, no comms. How are these people supposed to finish their journeys? R more buses coming? Taxi?
@TravelodgeUK there are lots of people at Porthmadog traveloadge waiting to check in. I’ve just arrived and need to attend a meeting . We need a receptionist asap, or cover staff to attend!
@Raksha_Digs Remarkably cool threads my girl! Massive congratulations and you were always our archaeologist of the year at MoLAS (particularly in the Golden Heart)
@CrossCountryUK 2/2 in this case. I’m highlighting these issues (yday & 2day) so @CrossCountryUK can formulate a mitigation plan, which is why it’s so disappointing to hear that there isn’t one & this just going to how it for the foreseeable future (not he PR imo)Again, thx for responding though
@CrossCountryUK really! Again! Covid cases yesterday 88376! Todays cross country from Scotland to Plymouth 4 coaches, so packed we’re all in vestibule… I ask politely, why are knowingly running unsafe trains?
@CrossCountryUK Thank you for swift response. I know why the response but it does seem to indicate that @CrossCountryUK may not be taking their Covid mitigation responsibilities on this seriously. Unfortunately the complaints procedure would not cover these observations so it not relevant ½
