#WorldSuicidePreventionDay
May your nervous system heal and the consequences of stress and trauma be reversed.
May you know peace - not as a rare visitor but as a constant companion.
In honour of #InternationalWomensDay on Friday 8 March, I'm celebrating 5 extraordinary Nigerian women challenging the status quo and gender stereotypes in their professions.
1. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal
General Manager of the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA).
Hi, I’m Alma 👋🏽
I’m 25. Nigerian.
This year, I’ve been to 10 countries so far. By the end of 2023, it will be 12, maybe 13.
You know what’s wild? I didn’t even own a passport until I was 21. And I actually got the passport because I wanted to move to Canada.
Guess what?
People were responsible for the culture you currently uphold. If a culture doesn't have equity, fairness at its core, why are you still upholding it?
Culture can be changed. Just because culture has been long standing doesn't make it right.
@ThejourneyofACL 1. Accepting that as male or female, you will want and feel things. There’s no point denying this or thinking it’s just carnal singles who want to act on their sexual desires
2. Deciding what to do about raging hormones before they rage
3. Trusting Abba with this too
4. Running😭

I am happy to share that @Slum2School is now incorporated in the United States with the approval of the New York State - Department of State and the IRS.
We are excited to begin our journey to building global partnerships that will impact more children across Africa, while influencing policies that affect education, children and youths.
It's also exciting to share that we have also established 15 Communities of Impact in 15 African countries where we have our active volunteer communities and where we are working towards expanding our operations and programs.
We will be announcing our Global Executive Council, U.S. Governance Board and Country leads in the coming weeks and all these would not have been possible without the incredible support of our dynamic Volunteer community, Partners, Supporters and Board.
In the coming days we will be launching our most ambitious campaign and will be calling on you to join us to Become Superheroes to millions of children across Africa. So when Africa calls, please answer.
I'm truly grateful for the support you have given to thousands of children over the past 11 years and as we begin this new journey, we ask that you come on board so together we can achieve even greater impact for the African Child.

Visit the altars of God in your past, places where you "met" with God and saw his invisible hand in your life particularly where he sent people to help you and give him thanks.
@FoluOyefeso@thecuddleblog@Cuddlesblog is doing a wonderful job for both SAHM and homeschooling mums.she has a pdf book that will be of great help to mamas in this summer holiday.
She takes them to historical landmarks around the country and teaches them about history, etc. I think this is a beautiful education, even though it’s a full time job.
Recently met a Nigerian mom who is home schooling her kids. I thought it was a cool concept, especially with how hyper intelligent and well spoken the kids were.
