Gavin Newsom’s recent appearance on Hannity is a masterclass in communication and debate. A must-watch for all leaders — no matter what field you’re in or what party you belong to.
How Newsom took on Hannity, a thread🧵
@sama You describe the problems with college in the US but finish stating the world needs an alternative. Look at France, UK, Germany, not perfect but they start by solving the fundamental problem of price accessibility.
@elonmusk@BillyM2k@OfficialABQ I went to YC with this idea many years ago, demoed it to @sama. Got invited to interview but did not make it in. The problem is selling to governments on an improvement to what they have. It might be a good play for a large corp.(Sending vehicles + RL for controlling the lights)
The more refinement cycles your ideas go through, the better they become. And the faster you try new things, the more refinement cycles your ideas go through in a given timespan.
So to get better ideas, you simply need to *try new things faster*.
All parents should show this or similar material to their young kids. I'm happy mainstream media is introducing such an important part of reality into their content offering #ASD#AutismAwareness#autism

@jaltma If you can't dine out then go for walks. If you can't get a haircut then learn how to do it yourself. Start to make the best coffee you've ever had and enjoy the city. There's a lot to enjoy around here.
@jaltma What I find odd about the narrative is that we talk about resilience and about adapting/pivoting in SF for all things tech and work but when people can't bro certain things they see the greener grass everywhere. Newer situations make you grow, take this as an opportunity.
The narrative on twitter about SF and my experience living here feel pretty different.
Parks have been full, lots of outdoor dining, not that many moving trucks, very few people I know moved due to covid.
Anyone else feel like twitter narrative and IRL experience not lining up?
@eriktorenberg Can you really disassociate internet and society? Update psychology and communication would definitely help in any case. Many people see their online self's as a separate persona instead of an extension of the self. That probably needs to change.
