OK give it to me straight @ImpossibleFoods , is there a way to verify that I am not getting a meat burger from, say, @BurgerKing when I order an Impossible Whopper? I got two the other day and the patties looked dramatically different
@oatly I mean, I think at the end of the day, we were sold plastic recycling as a solution and it was clearly a lie. Why not use a more sustainable material at the outset instead of trying to justify more plastic production
Hey @oatly I would love it if you put oat milk in aluminum cans! It's tough for me to get through a half gallon by myself and all that plastic packaging bums me out.
@oatly Tetra Paks might be recyclable in theory but I am not confident that it actually happens very often. I am no expert, but it is my understanding that aluminum (and glass) are much more easily recyclable than polyethylene, renewable sources notwithstanding.
@oatly Maybe you could include the "maximum nutritional value / minimal environmental impact" bit too, since plastic recycling is is such a sorry state
@oatly I like the full fat chilled oat milk which only comes in half gallons afaik. I am in San Francisco, CA USA. To be honest I would rather buy in larger quantities if it meant less plastic packaging eg tetra-paks &c. I feel much better about aluminum or steel cans, or glass!
I asked a few questions and he kept saying "these just launched yesterday". And I'm like yeah did they not tell you any details before rolling out? That sounds like pretty poor preparation to me
Pretty disappointed today, I heard that @ImpossibleFoods nuggets were launching at @GottsRoadside so I went down to check it out. Discovered that the breading isn't vegan? According to the cashier it contains both egg and dairy, which is totally mystifying to me
And if you're launching a thing as big as this, why not prepare your staff for the questions that they will undoubtedly get? That's the real head scratcher to me. People are going to ask for vegan options, why not make it easy for your staff to accommodate them
