“Stop making your illness your identity”
Do you realize how much my illness has affected my identity? Do you know that I had to learn to accept that it’s a part of me because it affects every aspect of my life?
Today it happened. I took my 12 yr old immunocompromised child into public with a FloMask and she was verbally assaulted by two vendors at the Belleville Farmer’s Market. She had profanities yelled at her as she bawled and tried to hide. This is why we hermit and can’t enjoy life
I caught Covid from my best friend (2020) and my husband (2023.)
Neither of them were careless. I was infected before they had symptoms.
Covid doesn’t care if we love each other. Trust doesn’t create immunity. This should not be offensive.
Stop making a virus about feelings.
Joining a union is essentially saying you’re ready to throw down for any worker, even a stranger, and you know without having to ask that they’ve made the same promise to you. Metal as hell, everyone should do it
When I finally finish this PhD I gotta find some great gifts to give to my husband and sister...but also my 2 besties I talk to and complain/cry to everyday about school bc good God am I grateful for my support system getting me through this experience....
