Today, I had the pleasure of receiving the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Engr. Jennifer Adighije, alongside her management team, on a courtesy visit to my office.

I commended the revival of the Alaoji Power Plant, Aba, a development that marks a significant milestone in our collective drive towards stable and uninterrupted electricity supply in Abia State. With operations restored, the plant currently dispatches about 375MW to the national grid, and plans are underway to expand its capacity to nearly 800MW, with prospects of reaching 1,100MW in the future.

Electricity remains central to our vision for economic growth and social development. Since assuming office, our administration has prioritized reforms in the power sector, from ring-fencing the Aba industrial cluster to concluding arrangements for acquiring the Umuahia electricity axis of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC). These steps will place generation, regulation, and distribution substantially under the control of Abia State.

I expressed optimism that our collaboration with NDPHC will enable us to wheel power directly from Alaoji to the remaining eight LGAs outside the Aba corridor, ensuring that homes, schools, hospitals, and industries across the state enjoy reliable electricity.

Together, we are building the infrastructure that powers life, production, and prosperity. Abia is ready to lead the way in energy independence.

Let me share something from my last surgery experience.

A few minutes after this picture was taken, one of the nurses came over and asked when I had last shaved my pubic area. I told her five days before. That wasn't good enough. They needed to shave me again right there.

A female nurse was given that task. And honestly? At that moment, I couldn't have cared less about her seeing me. I could tell it meant nothing to her either. From bits of conversation I caught between her and her colleagues (nurses talk, a lot), she had an exam that same morning. She had that on her mind, yet she calmly lifted the surgical gown and got the job done.

When I came out of surgery, I woke up with two tubes in my body. The first was a nasogastric tube, passed through my nose down into my stomach for feeding. The second was a urinary catheter, inserted into my penis to handle urination. Two days later, when it was time to remove the catheter, a female doctor, Dr. Adewunmi, was the one who did it. And no, she didn't do that without seeing or touching my penis.

Here's the point I'm getting at. A patient's private areas are typically covered during surgery. But depending on what kind of surgery it is, one or more members of the surgical team will likely see part or all of the patient's body. The difference is that these professionals are trained to treat every patient with dignity and to avoid being any more invasive than the situation requires.

A serving police officer, ASP Newton Isokpehi @NIsokpehi19193 has publicly threatened to shoot and kill Nigerians, including entire buses full of people, simply for recording him while he is on duty extorting money.

This is not a joke. This is an armed officer declaring open season on citizens exercising their legal right to record public officials.

He later posted an “apology,” but the damage is done and the threat remains circulating.

This is unacceptable.

We cannot wait for blood to be spilled before the authorities move. Mental health issues or welfare complaints do not give any officer the right to threaten mass murder.

“Very unlike me, I just finished listening to the 90+ minute recorded call between Sandra and Chike, and I noticed the tollowing:

Sandra never said Frank did anything wrong to her. Throughout the entire call, she never accused him of che@ting on her. Clearly, the chfating allegations she is now making appear to be an afterthought and mere propaganda.

She acknowledged in the call that she is the che@ter. Very clearly and unmistakably stated.

In fact, on more than two occasions, she admitted that it was not Frank's fault. She also acknowledged that he had every right to be angry.

Frank was willing to forgive her if she could stop talking to Chike - something she herself admitted would be difficult, even asking Chike whether he could do without her.

When the news first broke on social media, Frank even posted a picture of the two of them together in an attempt to manage the damage. The man genuinely wanted the relationship to work. He was prepared to forgive.

The so-called "malice" from Frank only began after he obtained evidence that Sandra was chfating on him. It was at that point that he started withdrawing and keeping to himself.

So, is anyone expecting a man who has raw evidence of his wife having sexual affairs with another man to be hugging the woman? I just don't understand what's going before our eyes.
