Over the past 25 years, we've increased the organic matter in our soil from less than .5% to over 5%. And, while most of the credit goes to grazing livestock constantly on the move, a little homemade compost helped push it over the edge.

The unsold inedible by-products from our on-farm processing plants are sent to our composting area where it's turned often. After several months, the rich #compost is spread to the farm, which helps jumpstart the microbes.
