#4✨On August 15th, The Shrine of Sacred Heart hosted a powerful community event to celebrate a hard-won resolution, the result of weeks of grassroots organizing & advocacy by the San Romero Committee, drawing 150+ attendees -church leaders, community advocates & local residents
#7 ✨In May, CARECEN played a key role in a delegation with Congressman Glenn Ivey to El Salvador, coordinating meetings with local NGOs and civil society leaders and checking on Kilmar Abrego García.
#5 ✨This year, we celebrated the opening of our first MD office in Bladensburg, Prince George’s County. After years of serving Maryland residents from DC, opening this office was an intentional step to serve our community more directly. Here’s to expanding our impact.
This year alone, our Legal team delivered 140+ Know Your Rights presentations, including 40 in-person & 100+ virtual sessions, reaching over 6,658 families. We're shifting our focus to family emergency planning, helping families prepare for the unexpected w/ greater agency
