وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف کا یومِ آزادی 14 اگست 2026 پر پیغام.

پاکستان اور بیرون ملک مقیم تمام اہل وطن کو دل کی اتھاہ گہرائیوں سےیومِ ��زادی کی خوشیاں مبارک! آج پاکستان کی آزادی کے79 سال مکمل ہونےکے پُرمسرت موقع پر تمام اہل وطن کو دلی مبارکباد پیش کرتا ہوں۔

یہ امر ہمارے لیۓ باعثِ عزت و افتخار ہے کہ جدوجہد آزادی میں بابائے قوم قائداعظم محمد علی جناح، مفکر پاکستان،شاعر مشرق علامہ محمد اقبال اور متعدد عظیم و بےمثل رہنماء شامل تھے۔آج ہم من حیث القوم تحریک آزادی کے قائدین، کارکنان اور اسلافِ ملت کو سلام پیش کرتے ہیں۔

قائدِاعظم محمد علی جناح کی مدبرانہ اور بصیرت افروز قیادت،ہمارےآباو اجداد کی عظیم قربانیاں، تحریک آزادی کے رہنماوں کا غیرمتزلزل عزم اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی بے پایہ فضل و کرم کی بدولت آزاد مملکت کا خواب شرمندہِ تعبیر ہوا۔

تحریک آزادی کےتمام رہنماؤں کی ولولہ انگیز سیاسی جدوجہد نےمسلمانان ہند کو آزاد وطن کےنصب العین پر متحد کیا۔ہمارےآباو اجداد نےلازوال قربانیوں، صعوبتوں اور تکالیف کی داستان رقم کی اور جدوجہد آزادی کامیابی سے ہمکنار ہوئی۔

14 اگست 1947ء کو ہمیں ایسی سر زمین میسر ہوئی جہاں ہم آزاد قوم کی حیثیت سے عزت و وقار اور دین و تہذیبی اقدار کے مطابق زندگی استوار کر سکیں۔ سرزمینِ پاکستان اسلامی تعلیمات اور باباۓ قوم کے نظریات کے تابع تمام شہریوں کے لئے بلا تفریقِ رنگ و نسل مکمل آزادی کی ضمانت ہے۔ آئین و قوانینِ پاکستان تمام شہریوں کے حقوق کے ضامن ہیں۔

پاکستان کی ترقی و خوشحالی کا یہ سفر تابناک مستقبل کی جانب گامزن ہے۔ دفاع وطن، معیشت، صنعت و حرفت، عدلیہ، میڈیا، کھیل، تعلیم و ہنر، علماء، دانشور، اساتذہ، سائنسدان، زراعت و کاشتکاری اور بشمول عصر حاضر کے جدید شعبہ جات میں پاکستانی مرد و خواتین نے اپنی کاوشوں سے عزم وہمت کے باب رقم کئے۔
ہمارے با��لاحیت نوجوان، ہنر مند افرادی قوت، بہترین پیشہ ور ماہرین، جفا کش کسان اور محنت کش مزدور ملک و قوم کے تابندہ مستقبل کے ضامن ہیں۔

حکومت پاکستان نے گزشتہ ڈھائی سالوں میں نہایت مشکل مراحل عبور کر کے مستحکم معیشت کا ہدف حاصل کیا ہے اور اب ترقی یافتہ معیشت کی منزل کی جانب کامیابی سے گامزن ہے۔ گزشتہ دو برس کے دوران بیرونِ ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کی ترسیلاتِ زر میں 11.3 ارب ڈالر کا اضافہ ہوا، جو حکومتی پالیسیوں پر اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کے مسلسل اعتماد کا مظہر ہے۔

جدید انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی سے لیس، جدت سے آراستہ دیر پا صنعتی و زرعی ترقی، عوامی فلاح وبہبود کے منصوبے، روزگار کے م��اقع، عالمی معیار کا تعلیم وہنر کا نظام ہماری اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہیں۔

ہماری بہادر افواج نے ہر مشکل میں، دشمن کے ہر وار کے جواب میں مادر وطن کے دفاع کو ناقابلِ تسخیر ثابت کیا ہے۔پاکستان ا��نی جری افواج پر فخر کرتا ہے۔ معرکۂ حق میں مسلح افواج نے، فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کی قیادت میں اتحاد، عزم اور بے مثال بہادری کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے وطنِ عزیز کے دفاع اور سربلندی کی نئی تاریخ رقم کی۔پاکستان اپنے دفاع اور آبی وسائل سمیت قومی مفادات کے تحفظ کے لئے کسی قربانی سے دریغ نہیں کرے گا۔

آج پاکستان اقوام عالم میں ایک مضبوط، پُرعزم، باوقار اور امن کی توانا آواز کے طور پہچانا جاتا ہے۔ خطےکی مشکل اور چیلنجنگ علاقائی صورتحال میں پاکستان ایک ذمہ دار اور خطےمیں استحکام کا ضامن ملک بن کر ابھرا ہے،جو امن، استحکام اور علاقائی تعاون کےفروغ میں تعمیری کردار ادا کر رہا ہے۔

پاکستان، سعودی عرب اور ترکیہ کےمابین مکہ مکرمہ میں طے پانےوالا مشترکہ دفاعی معاہدہ خطےمیں پاکستان کے بڑھتے ہوئے تزویراتی کردار اور ابھرتی ہوئی قوت کا اہم مظہر ہے۔

پاکستان، مظلوم فلسطینی عوام اور جموں و کشمیر کے اپنے بہنوں اور بھائیوں سے مکمل اظہار یکجہتی کرتا ہے اور انکے لئے اپنی غیر متزلزل اصولی حمایت کا اعادہ کرتا ہے۔ جنوبی ایشیاء میں پائیدار امن کی ضمانت جموں وکشمیر کے اقوام متحدہ کی قراردادوں کے مطابق، عالمی قوانین اور کشمیریوں کی امنگوں کے مطابق سفارتی حل میں پوشیدہ ہے۔

آج یوم آزادی پر پوری قوم بہادر افواج، قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کے دلیر جوانوں, غازیوں اور تمام شہداء کی مقروض ہے جنہوں نے قوم کے مستقبل کی خاطر اپنی جانیں قربان کیں۔

آئیے، آج اپنے قومی عزم کی تجدید کریں کہ ہم یک جان ہو کر سرزمینِ پاکستان کی ترقی وخوشحالی ،امن و استحکام اور باہمی ہم آہنگی اور یگانگت کے لیے بھرپور انداز میں کام کریں گے۔ آج میں پوری قوم بشمول تمام طبقات اور سیاسی جماعتوں کو پُرخلوص پیشکش کرتا ہوں کہ آئیں متحد ہو کر ملکی سالمیت ،قومی مفادات کے تحفظ اور فروغ کے لئے تعمیری کام کریں۔

اللہ تعالیٰ پاکستان کو دنیا میں عزت و وقار کی علامت بنائے اور کامیابیوں سے نوازے، آمین!

We also renew our solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and reaffirm our support for their legitimate struggle for their rights. Pakistan will continue to support a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of its people and the relevant United Nations resolutions.

On this occasion, I also want to reiterate that despite historical differences, we have always respected and supported the national sovereignty of our neighbour Afghanistan and expect the same reciprocity. It is sad that the current interim regime of Afghanistan is allowing and supporting a cocktail of terror groups to use their soil for launching attacks against neighbouring countries including Pakistan. It is sad the Taliban regime of Afghanistan is collaborating with India in launching terror attacks against Pakistani civilians and security personnel. They are doing this to distract us from the peace building efforts of Pakistan, recognised by entire world.

I warn them to stop these evil actions against the people of Pakistan and assure all and sundry that the armed forces of Pakistan are capable of defeating these evil designs.

On this Independence Day, I call upon all Pakistanis to contribute to the country’s progress in whatever field they serve.

May Allah Almighty protect Pakistan, grant peace and prosperity to our people, strengthen our country and guide us towards a better future.

Message from the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari on 79th Independence Anniversary

On the occasion of the 79th Independence Anniversary of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Pakistanis at home and abroad.

14 August is a day when we remember the sacrifices that made Pakistan possible. We pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the leaders and workers of the Pakistan Movement and all those who gave up their homes, security and livelihoods in the struggle for a homeland.

But independence is not only a historic achievement. It is also a responsibility that each generation must carry forward. The Pakistan that was created through the democratic will of its people must continue to grow stronger, more secure and more prosperous. Our task is not only to remember what earlier generations achieved, but to add to it through our own work.

The past year has reminded us of the strength of the Pakistani nation. The events surrounding Marka-e-Haq demonstrated that Pakistan seeks peace, but also possesses the resolve and capacity to defend its sovereignty and national interests. The lesson of strength is ultimately a lesson of responsibility. A country that can defend itself must also use its strength to prevent conflict, protect peace and serve the interests of its people.

The security and stability we enjoy today have come at a great cost. On this Independence Day, we pay tribute to the martyrs of our Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies and police, and honour the sacrifices of their families. Their courage and commitment have helped safeguard our nation against external aggression and the threat of terrorism. The people of Pakistan remain deeply grateful for their service.

Pakistan’s role in the efforts to facilitate dialogue in the region is an important example of this responsibility. Pakistan has effectively used its channels of communication, its geographical location and diplomatic capital to encourage dialogue and de-escalation at a time when wider conflict could have serious consequences for the region and the world.

Pakistan’s approach is clear. We believe that disputes, no matter how serious, must ultimately be addressed through dialogue and diplomacy. Our security is linked to the peace and stability of our neighbourhood and the world at large. Pakistan will continue to support efforts that reduce tensions, protect regional stability and create conditions for cooperation.

This is also a time to look inward and focus on the work that will determine Pakistan’s future. We must strengthen our economy, create greater opportunities for our young people, improve education and skills, strengthen institutions through series of governance, economic and social reforms to ensure that the benefits of development and democracy reach every part and community of the country.

Pakistan’s greatest strength is its young people. Across the country and around the world, they are demonstrating their talent in science, technology, business, education and the creative industries. Our responsibility is to give them the education, skills and opportunities they need to realise their potential. By investing in our youth today, we are investing in Pakistan’s future.

For ordinary Pakistanis, national progress is measured in practical terms. It means a young person finding the skills and opportunity to build a career. It means a family being able to access quality education and healthcare. It means farmers, workers, traders and businesses being able to plan for the future with greater confidence. The strength of Pakistan will ultimately be judged by whether our national progress improves the lives of its people.
