Pakistan stands at the threshold of a significant opportunity to emerge as a global destination for critical minerals. With vast mineral resources, a strategic geological position and growing international demand for copper, gold, lithium and rare earth elements, the country has the potential to attract investment, strengthen exports and unlock sustainable economic growth.

Realising this potential requires a strategic focus on exploration, modern technology, infrastructure, investment facilitation and sustainable mining practices. Strengthening the broader minerals ecosystem will be critical to unlocking Pakistan’s resource potential, building investor confidence and advancing value addition across the mineral value chain.

The conversation continues at the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26), taking place on November 12–13, 2026, at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad. Bringing together global investors, mining leaders, policymakers and technology providers, PMIF26 will be a key platform to explore partnerships, accelerate investment and shape the future of Pakistan’s minerals sector.
