@ABDanielleSmith Noise levels are measured at the receiving locations, presumably the neighboring residences, and not right in front of the stage/PA system.
It does not deter the actual concert experience all that much.
The noise bylaws are entirely sensible. Stop spreading misinformation.
@JeffWatsonYYC@JeromyYYC Noise levels are measured at the receiving locations, presumably the residences, not right in front of the stage/PA system. 65 dbA at the receiving location sounds like your neighbours having a very loud party where you can hear and follow everything– for 10 nights straight.
@Isuckatpicking They just shared an update that although she's in a critical condition, Anna is still alive and with us. Hoping that she pulls through🙏
Dropping some lore for y'all– I remember @MiraPagliNair telling @virsanghvi at the Jaipur Literature festival in 2018 that she was the Ophelia to @ShashiTharoor's Hamlet when they were doing theatre together at Stephens.
I'd be the first to buy a ticket to that production.
Wonderfully apt! Warmest congratulations to my old friend @MiraPagliNair on her son @ZohranKMamdani’s spectacular victory and to his uncles, my Stephanian friends Vicky and Gautam Nair, for their nephew’s triumph!
@PrayRona_ Fully understand if you're not a fan of Sitaare Zameen Par- as a musician, I can assure you that time spent on an album ks not proportionate to how good or bad it sounds. Some of the best pieces of music I've made with my mates came together in a rather short span of time.
@research_gap@DelhiAirport You cannot design public infrastructure contingent on someone having an active phone/internet connection.
Horrible for travelers with limited access to technology and with any form of accessibility needs.
@research_gap@DelhiAirport This is such a massive issue across all Indian airports- Mumbai, Ahmedabad. Some airports don't announce flight changes to emulate silent airports of the west. And then never supplement the loss of loud announcements with enough info screens/help desks.
@strategysteven Agreed, indulging/giving a pass to hateful imagery and messaging (which is a form of violence in and of itself), ultimately leads to bigger, more unfortunate incidents happening.
