Prime Partnerships, eVTOL Raises, and Ground Autonomy

Daily Hard Tech Headlines:

- Northrop Grumman has named six partners: @AppliedInt, Autonodyne LLC, Merlin, Red 6, @shieldaitech, and Soar Technology, LLC. These teams will begin testing autonomy solutions on the Beacon platform using the Model 437 aircraft.

- @Picogrid has partnered with @SkydioHQ, the leading American UAS company. This collaboration enables Skydio drones to integrate with other unmanned systems using Picogrid’s Legion software.

- AIRIA has raised its seed round, with Fulcrum Venture Group and Counterview Capital leading the investment in its spatial intelligence technology. In addition, the New York-based startup launched "AIRIA Federal," a dedicated division focused on delivering advanced AI-driven technology solutions for the U.S. federal government and defense agencies.

- AIR has raised a $23M Series A. The startup develops eVTOLs for multi-domain missions.

- @paladinworks has launched. The startup is developing a tactical wildfire response platform aimed at bringing advanced fire risk and behavior predictions to the wildland fire teams operating on the front lines.

- @OpenAI has announced plans for a renewable-powered data center in Northern Norway, their first in Europe. Supporting partners include Nscale and Aker.

- Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has announced a partnership with the Texas A&M University System’s George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex to develop autonomous helicopters capable of fighting wildfires.

- During Agile Spirit 25, U.S. forces and @Overland_AI_X tested ULTRA, a fully autonomous tactical vehicle designed for rough terrain and high-risk missions. The demonstration in Georgia highlighted growing battlefield autonomy across NATO partners.
