@cookiecarver well just judging by this + the one short i read, they're strange, dreamlike, fragmentary - and Requiem is quite funny! I like how he thinks about time and memory, personally. And the relationship of the protagonist to the city/space(s) they are in is interesting:)

having to go shopping hungover makes u so acutely aware of the nuances of a shop's atmosphere. the unique temperature, smells, noises of each one. And these factors all affect how dizzy U feel when looking at all of the products on the shelves
